Information about the Meeting of Tuesday, May 19th (TOMORROW)
· Tomorrow
is Election Day and we will be having our meeting in the large room on the 2nd
Floor, where the Dragons normally meet.
· TOMORROW NIGHT IS OUR 1ST BUCK NIGHT OF THE
SEASON; BRING THE FAMILY
AND FRIENDS DOWN FOR DINNER. THOSE SCOUTS THAT ARE TO BRING DONATIONS PLEASE GET THEM TO THE BRUCKERS TONIGHT OR
BRING THEM DOWN EARLY.
· TOMORROW NIGHT IS ALSO PICKUP NIGHT FOR THE FLOWER SALE.
PLEASE MAKE SURE SOMEONE FROM THE FAMILY IS
DESIGNATED TO PICK
THEM UP.
· The Memorial Day Flag Ceremony permission slip is due
tomorrow as well.
· We have paid all of the fees for summer camp and we have taken the money from the scout’s accounts. We have printed out copies of each scouts account and they will be available for parents and scouts to
pick up at the meeting.
· One note about Summer Camp, there are several merit badges that have a cost associated with it. YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY IN OUR ACCOUNT
TO COVER THESE COSTS. THEY WERE NOT PAID WITH THE NORMAL FEE BUT WILL BE PAID BY THE TROOP AT SUMMER CAMP. More information
on this later.
· Starting with this meeting we will be having each scout demonstrate his CPR skills so that we have a list
of all scouts that have completed this requirement for the various merit badges that require this skill. All scouts will participate whether or not they are going to summer camp or taking a merit badge that requires it. This will continue for several weeks.
· We will also
be starting to discuss the requirements that must be completed before summer camp in order to complete the merit badges.

TROOP 90 BSA HEALTH AND MEDICAL RECORDS
We seem to be having a problem filling out the
new forms properly and providing all of the proper information. Please note the following:
- EVERYONE MUST FILL OUT PART A AND PART B OF
THE NEW FORM, EVEN IF YOU ARE USING LAST
YEARS MEDICAL EXAM FROM YOUR DOCTOR.
- EVERYONE MUST PROVIDE A PHOTOCOPY OF BOTH SIDES
OF YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE CARD unless you
do not have medical insurance and then you are to write NONE at the bottom of Part C.
- IF YOUR SON NORMALLY GETS HIS PHYSICAL IN THE
FALL PLEASE BE SURE AND TAKE THE NEW FORM
(IT IS AVAILABLE ON TROOP 90’S WEBSITE) TO THE DOCTOR. FOR NEXT YEAR WE WILL NEED A CURRENT
MEDICAL EXAM DATED 8/1/2009 OR LATER.
- THESE PHYSICALS WILL BE REQUIRED EVEN IF YOUR
SON IS NOT ATTENDING SUMMER CAMP. TROOP 90’S PROGRAM IS BASICALLY
A HIGH ADVENTURE PROGRAM AND WE MUST KNOW THAT EVERY SCOUT HAS HAD HIS YEARLY PHYSICAL.
- I NEED THIS INFORMATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
SO THAT I MAY MAKE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF COPIES FOR OUR USE. THOSE SCOUTS THAT PLAN TO USE LAST YEARS
MEDICAL
EXAMS SHOULD HAVE ALL OF THERE FORMS TURNED IN BY THE END OF MAY.
- THOSE SCOUTS THAT MUST HAVE OR PLAN TO GET A
MEDICAL EXAM BEFORE SUMMER CAMP SHOULD TURN THE PAPERWORK IN AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN AFTER THE MEDICAL EXAM IS COMPLETED.
