Troop Meeting of Tuesday, June 30th - Change of Time and Place
We are going to try and complete at least some
of the swim tests this year BEFORE
we go to summer camp. We have made arrangements at the Forest Hills Pool to do the swim tests there on Tuesday,
June 30th. Please arrive at the pool no later than 6:30 PM we will have until 7:45 PM to complete
as many swim test as we can. If you can not make it for this meeting and/or swim test, you will still be able to take the
swim test at summer camp.
Just a reminder to those scouts that are not planning on going into or
on the water at summer camp. If you plan to participate in our August Canoe Trip, you must pass the swim test either next Tuesday or at summer camp.
After we have completed the swim test we will return to the troop room
at the Church, where we will finish cleaning up from the flood that
occurred last week. We will have to move the cabinets along the wall and
mop up the are where they were standing.

Troop 90, June trip to Wright Patterson Air Force Base
This is information for those scouts and adults
that have signed up to go to the Air Force Museum Trip to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
· We plan to leave the Church at 8:00 AM on Thursday, June
25th. Please be on time.
· All Scouts must be in full Class A uniforms. Also bring along any Troop T-Shirts, which you will be able to wear at the camp site. The same applies to adults that have uniforms.
· All Scouts and Adults should bring eating utensils, a plate, a cup, and a water bottle. We will be eating in one cooking group, with Mr.
Liebmann being the main cook. We do expect both scouts and adults to assist in meal preparation and clean up.
· We have pulled enough tents out of the troop room for the 16 scouts to use but did not pull out any tents
for adults. If adults need tents, they need to contact Mr. Jim Liebmann or Mrs. Karen Liebmann this week so we can pull additional tents out before Monday, June
22nd. Since the church is having bible school, we will not be able to go into the church
after Sunday, June 21st.
· Everyone should bring a camp chair for the air show we plan to see on Friday night and a swimming suit,
towel, washcloth, ect. I am working on getting access to a nearby pool for swimming and a shower at the camp.
· Remember that the scouts will need additional money for lunch on Thursday as we drive to Dayton and lunch
on Sunday as we drive home. They will also need money for any personal items that they wish to purchase at the Museum. We will pack lunches for Friday and Saturday as we tour the museum.
· If you have questions please call me on my cell phone or see me on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Troop Meetings for June 23rd and June 30th
This is just a reminder about the upcoming Troop
Meetings before Summer Camp.
· The meeting on June 23rd will be held at the Woodland Hills EMS Building behind the Forest
Hills Boro Building. The Church has an evening bible school going on and we can not get into the church. Mr. Sivak will be continuing to cover the CPR requirements that
are needed for the merit badges at summer camp.
I also want everyone to go through the training even if they do not need it for summer camp merit badges.
· At the Meeting of June 30th we are trying to arrange to do our swim tests at the Forest Hills
pool. Those that complete and pass the test will not have to take the test at summer camp. This is important especially for
those scouts that may be going canoeing with us but will not be going to summer camp.
· AT THIS TIME WE ONLY HAVE TWO SCOUTS AND 4 ADULTS THAT HAVE SIGNED UP TO
GO TO CAMP ON JULY 4TH TO HELP SET UP OUT CAMPSITE. IF THIS IS ALL THE HELP WE WILL BE GETTING WE WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SIT UP THE ADULT AND DRAGONS AREA. THE SCOUTS WILL HAVE TO SIT UP CAMP AFTER THEY ARRIVE ON SUNDAY. EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE HAD
SEVERAL JULY 4TH SET UPS, THIS WILL BE THE FIRST TIME WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SET
UP THE ENTIRE CAMP. I AM WILLING TO ARRANGE
FOR SCOUTS TO RETURN TO PITTSBURGH BEFORE FIREWORKS IF THAT WILL HELP ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO HELP, BUT YOU WILL MISS THE EVENING
MEAL. WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

Medical Forms
We are quickly
running out of time to turn in the medical forms especially for those scouts that plan to attend summer camp.
· If you are planning
on using a current (last three years) medical exam form from your doctor, you still have to fill out parts A & C of the
new Medical Form that was sent to you and is on our website. IN ADDITION, we must have a copy (both
front and back) of your medical Insurance card. If you do not have medical insurance, please so state at the bottom of Part
C.
· I still have
to make copies and proof each form, the mistakes I am seeing are, lack of information on immunizations; signatures of BOTH the scout and a parent on Part C; and no emergency contact information. Since we will be using these forms not only for summer camp but also for our monthly activities, not filling out these forms properly may result
in delayed treatment if your son would became
sick or injured.

Scouting for Food Announced as a Record Year
It looks
like Scouting for Food set a new record in collections. Troop 90 was a part of this. Again I would like to thank all of the
scouts and parents that participated in this very important Community Service Project.

THIS IS A REMINDER THAT WE WILL BE HAVING OUR
SPRING COURT OF HONOR THIS COMING TUESDAY, JUNE 2ND. WE WILL ALSO BE PRESENTING THE EAGLE AWARD TO LUKE GORMLEY AT A NATIONAL COURT OF HONOR.
I know there are a lot of activities going on in the Spring that sometimes

that you have earned since February.
