Boy Scout Troop 90

Boy Scout Troop 90 is chartered to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, Greater Pittsburgh Council, Fort Pitt District. The Scoutmaster is Rich Rode.
 
The Troop meets every Tuesday from 7:30-9:00 PM at the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church.

Committee Meeting Sunday, November 1, 2009 - Reminder

To all Scout Parents,

This is to remind you that the Troop has a Troop Committee Meeting on Sunday, November 1st at 7:30 PM at the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church.  We will meet on the 2nd floor in the Cascade Room. The ability of the troop to continue to have an interesting and active program depends on the willingness of the parents and other adults associated with the troop to support the program.

The committee meeting is where this all starts.  Please plan to make time to attend and help with our program requirements. Hope to see you there.

Troop 90 Dues for 2010

We must recharter for 2010 by the middle of November and we must get the dues paid from each scout. The registration fee from the National Boy Scouts has increased $5 and is currently $15. As a result we have to increase our yearly dues as well to cover this increase as well as to cover the increase in cost for merit badge books, merit badges, rank and position patches and other fees that the troop covers.

See the Forms section of the website under Other Forms to download the invoice for the 2010 dues. Please return by November 11th . If you have any questions please call Mr. Russell

Troop Meeting on October 27th

This is to inform all of the scouts and parents that we will be presenting Tyler McConnells Eagle Award on Tuesday, October 27th. Scouts should plan on attending the court of honor with their merit badge sashes and encourage parents and siblings to attend with them to support our newest Eagle Scout.

Merit Badge Connection 2010 Forms

To all Scouts:

This year the Troop will be directly supporting this activity. Please read the cover letter and the Prerequisites information and fill out the Individual Scout Registration Form and return it by October 20th. (All this info is posted in the Forms section of the website.) We will register as a unit and Mr. McAfee will be coordinating  this effort. Please read the information closely because in includes requirements that must be completed before class and depending on the merit badge you may need to attend all three weekends.

Troop Accounts and list of Personal Data

If you have not picked up the detail of your troop account to review, please do so on Tuesday. We need to get everyone on board as to what is in their accounts and address any discrepancies we might have. Please review by October 27th . If we do not hear from you, we will assume that everything is correct and that you have no questions concerning the numbers. This will be your account balance starting September 1st ( our new program year). We will not be going back in time to address concerns after the 27th.

In addition I will also have a print out of the personal data for each scout that is current recorded in our database. I need to make sure this is up to date because I plan to use this database to generate our new charter for next year. By making sure they are identical, I will be able to upload advancements and other awards directly to the national computer system. Please review this information and make any changes needed and return to me. If there are no changes to be made, please note that there is No Changes and also return to me. Please get this information back to me by October 21st.

Troop Committee Meeting this Sunday, October 3rd

This is to remind you that the Troop has a Troop Committee Meeting on Sunday, October 3rd at 7:00 PM at the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. (We are starting earlier due to the Steeler Game) We will meet on the 2nd floor in the Cascade Room.

The ability of the troop to continue to have an interesting and active program depends on the willingness of the parents and other adults associated with the troop to support the program. The committee meeting is where this all starts.

Please plan to make time to attend and help with our program requirements.
