Nov 14th Community Service Project Permission Slip - Due 11/14/09
BRING A SIGNED COPY OF THIS PERMISSION SLIP WITH YOU ON SATURDAY.  MR. FISHER WILL GATHER THEM AT THE FHPC BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE EVENT.

This is an opportunity to help our communities, please consider lending a hand.  You are to meet at the FHPC on Saturday at 8:00.  we may need a few parents to help drive the boys to Rankin School.  That will be determined when we see how many boys volunteer to help.  We did this in September, and it was a great way for the boys to be Helpful.

If you know of anyone in need, please be sure they hear about this opportunity.

Life Scouts - Eagle Projects

On November 10th at the Troop Meeting, I will be holding a short class on the Eagle Project Procedures. How do you determine what constitutes an Eagle Project? How you write it up in the Eagle Project Workbook?  How do you prepare to present the proposal to the District Advancement Committee for Approval?

This meeting is for both the Life Scout and their parents. The scout must attend before the parent is allowed to attend. This may require two or three sessions to complete. Hopefully it will make the Eagle Project write up easier or at least not as scary.

Effective November 1, 2009 Rich Rode is Troop 90’s Scoutmaster

I will continue to serve the troop on the troop committee where my primary responsibility will be to continue to keep the advancement, attendance and personal information records currently on the TroopMaster software. In addition, I will be working with the life scouts in preparing their Eagle Project Information in order to get the projects approved by the district advancement committee. I will also be working on special projects for Rich and the troop committee and hope to continue to attend most troop meetings and campouts.

I hope that all of you will support Rich as you have supported me over the past several years.

Popcorn Sale Extended until Thursday, November 5th

There was a technical issue with the Trails-End ordering system so the council has extended the sale of popcorn for a few additional days.

You must get your ADDITIONAL orders to Mr. Neal by the evening of Thursday, November 5th.

You can still earn your $50.00 off of camp.  If you were close to filling up your page (you needed 30 sales) you should strongly consider pounding the pavement a little more.

Send an email to the Troop Webmaster if you need a copy of the order form in case you didn't keep your extras.

Any questions?  Call the Neals at 412-401-0940
