Welcome to Grape Ape Racing, a site dedicated to building performance cars for the street and drag strip. The current toy is a 1978 Camaro with over 1000 horsepower streetable horsepowe. It dyno'd at 1041 rwhp, which is actually over 1200 at the crank. There are many opinions on what streetable means, and mine may differ from others, so what do I consider streetable? To sum it up qick and simple, to me, a street car is a car that you can get in and drive it anywhere that any factory car can go.  If I want to go down the street to the store and back, I can.  If I decide to go across country, I can do that too.  Check out the Random Thoughts section for my opinions on what I consider a street car.
