More Rods . . . .

Below are some rods I have made:

A nice brook trout rod 6'8" 3 wt

W-O-W Leprechaun

Only the flick of the wrist is required to accurately place a fly in tight spots on small streams. This rod has enough spunk to land 12-14" trout without difficulty yet it has a sensitative tip that can protect fine tipits.

A 7' 2 piece rod for 4 wt line derived from Payne 98

The Jim Payne 98 taper is one of the most popular tapers for modern rodmakers to copy. This rod is not a Payne 98 clone I designed it by making a combination of two popular versions of the Payne 98 available. The result is a a rod action which is quite different from either parent. This rod has a medium action and is capable of accurately presenting dry flys with amazing consistency.

7'6" 3 pice for 3 or 4 wt lines

Gene Edwards "Favorite"

This is a 3 or 4 wt version of the Gene Edwards Abercrombie and Fitch "Favorite" shown  on the previous page. This is a very fast taper which is capable of casting a very tight loop.
