A Place to Grow Together

|
| one of our newest parishioners... |
St. Matthias Church is a place of deep spiritual life put into action. We offer rich sacramental worship,
open to all who seek a place of refreshment, rest, and direction in Christ.
Located in Uptown Whittier, St. Matthias has long been known for serving those in need of food, shelter, and other basics
of daily life. Our music program offers inspiration and beauty to our Sunday worship and special programs. We have a variety
of ministries and classes for adults who wish to deepen their experience with God and neighbor.
But St. Matthias is not just a place where
adults gather to serve and worship!
For families and children, we offer
+ a worship environment where children are
welcomed, accepted, and treasured
+ optional Nursery Care for infants and toddlers, when desired by parents
+ Christian Formation classes, designed to help children open their
minds and their hearts to God and others, are offered for Young Children, ages 4-7, Elementary-aged Children, ages 8-11 and
Youth, both Middle and High School
We also offer Christians in the World, an enrichment program for children, youth, and their households, which includes outreach
opportunities, field trips, cultural events, and just plain fun – all with the purpose of placing God and the concerns
of God’s Kingdom firmly in the center of young lives. The schedule includes both Saturday and Sunday events, offered
monthly.
