Sundays at 9:00 am see education programs for adults during the school year, and breakfasts hosted by various parish ministry groups during the summer. At 10:00 am the Christian Formation for Children meets. Childcare is provided year round for the 10:00 service and special events, though babies and older children are encouraged to be in church.
After the 10:00 service is a social time every Sunday, and often a special program of education/formation, such as Welcome Classes for newcomers, or arts progams such as dramas, dance, or visual exhibits.
Monthly events include the meetings of our various groups and guilds, ranging from the Women's Book Group (which reads contemporary novels), to St. Elizabeth's Guild (daytime fellowship for women), to the various Vestry Commissions including Education, Finance, Planned Giving, Latino Ministry, and Buildings/Grounds.
Less regular are special events such as hosting musicians, scholars, elected officials, and drama groups.
Annual events include hosting the annual World AIDS Day service for Whittier, the "Kirkin' of the Tartans" in November, outtings to baseball games, the fall tour of wineries, retreats for various groups (including youth and women), and other fun and inspiring reasons to get together.
