2G.  John Gerard Linz was born in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A., on Thursday, August 27, 1925. Dorothy Viola Cooper was born in Baltimore on Tuesday, June 30, 1931. Her brother, Leroy, was the first husband of John's sister, Helen. They were married in Sacred Heart Church, Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday, February 19, 1949. She took the name Dorothy Viola Linz. He is the son of Conrad Julius and Anna Mary (Telljohann) Linz. She is the daughter of Clarence Dewey and Emma Viola (Folks) Cooper. They had four children:
