What comes around goes around

Being a parent puts you is an interesting dilemma. You've already been a kid once so you know there are things you did as a kid that would be considered "bad" or "inappropriate" to your parents...but you did them anyway. I wonder if the thoughts in my head at that time, in the commision of my "bad" events, ever crossed to the point where I knew what I was doing was wrong and would have consequence? Now, as an adult, I find myself searching my past for signs I see in my children today.

"How do I react if my kid does what I did when I was a kid?"

As a kid I was generally good natured but I had a selfish streak in me and was once caught for shoplifting. For the most part I went w/the flow of being a teenager and other than my stint as a Five-Fingered Discounter I'm pretty sure I didn't break any other laws associated with felonies or major crimes against nature. Now, my kids find themselves occasionally in the same situations and I'm not entirely sure how to react.
