The "Little Cut" Outcrop on the Ghost Town Trail

This stone outcropping is located between Bracken and Twin Rocks. This area was excavated during the construction of the railroad. The stone formation her is similar to the formation where the the large cut was made closer to Twin Rocks. There is also a coal outcropping in this area and it appears that the rail siding from Bracken may have extended as far as this area. There is a nice flat area on top of this formation of rocks which extends toward Blacklick Creek where it terminates in a very larg rock formation similar to that observed at the larger cut where a quarry operation was located.
