Here you'll learn a bit about me: my interests and hobbies, the people in
my family, my pets, and more.
Welcome to My Home Page!
I have been building LANs & WANs for over fifteen years now. I started out as a Novell administrator/analyst with Microware Distributors. I moved on to Nike as a LAN Specialist where I specialized in the Banyan Vines NOS. After a year consulting in the employ of Syntrex
Technologies, Inc. I then spent 4 years employed as a Network Analyst for Tektronix. When Tektronix sold it's color printer division to Xerox I became the LAN Operations manager for that division. With a change in the
corporate culture I lost my job so I started a new company, Structured Technical services, LLC.
I have done a lot of contracting since leaving Xerox. I led a team
at Pacificorp to migrate their applications to Citrix Servers, spent 6 months at Intel helping to support Windows 2003 servers
and clusters and I've done a Citrix pilot for Clark County, Washington. It's been fun and rewarding. I've gotten back to doing
work that can have a direct benefit to the people in these businesses! Currently I am working with some old friends from Nike
at ACS where I work on the Enterprise Services team as an IT Sr.
Specialist.
A few years ago I traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam to adopt my little girl. I think this was one of the best experiences of my life! This
year she turned 9 and is an amazingly talented little girl. She has
some drawings here.
My son is now 12 and is as tall as me! He has been snowboarding several times
this year and has gotten much better this season. He is getting excited about getting his yard business running again
as it feels like summer is almost here!
I enjoy a good game of chess. I only wish I still had sufficient time to be
good at it! I can often be found on-line at the Internet Chess Club. I live just outside of beautiful Portland, Oregon; possibly the most scenically diverse state in the union!
