Q: Why do we have different skin colors and speak different languages?

A: In the beginning, we all spoke the same language and had a common speech. After the people became settled in an area they liked, they became proud and wanted to build a tower to reach heaven, called the "Tower of Bable." God became sad because he didn't want the people to build the tower. So he confused their language and scattered them all over the world, so they couldn't understand each other anymore. And as a result of this, their hair and skin colors became lighter and darker due to the hot and cold climates and conditions in which they were living in the world.

Scripture Reference: Genesis 11 "...But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The Lord said, if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other..."
