An Asian tradition - "YEHS"

heart.jpg

The meaning of our family name “Yeh” is leaf, or as my mother explains it, tree leaf “Yeh” – pinyin-ized “shu ye de ye”.

Our family now numbers 4, once 5.  Mom, Dad and brother, soon to be joined by me (once again -never a year since HIGHSCHOOL, occupied in this county of Essex), {all} live in New Jersey, where we* grew up.  My mom's family are mainly in California, while my dad's family are in Taiwan and Brazil.  Mom and Dad are still practicing physicians; my brother is in medical school residency training, and recently married, with a wedding celebration in Maui.

A Houdini photo of dad, dated from April ’92; dad is undergoing cancer therapy, and winning at it.  SEE HERE!      (*Yeh-skteers)

This Greenland ice melt news feature @ NG*, reminds of my sister, hit by a titanic force, in 1995.
