The Croquette Lane

telltower_22.jpg

This page (created February 12) is to serve the memories of American tradition I grew up with; here to be found are "Croquettes", "Ditties", and eventually "croquets" (at page bottom).  The pledge of allegiance has made it to the top of the list (as an integral weave of America), and is now linked here.  Another radio broadcast tower can be found here.   (June 28, 2007)

This first page is intended as a Farmer's Almanac type page, for the purposes of SUSTAINABLE  developments.

In the 70s, as I grew up during the 70s, nuclear issues were in the press DAILY. And, progress was made in assuring that nuclear missiles would not fire accidentally, and also in allowing demilitarization of nuclear devices, to occur, with grace.  Nuclear issues, are not the only issues at stake in 2007, and as most Americans are against war, I will be starting from the avenues closest to home, consumer rights, and the federal civilian workforce.  Some issues were raised on my "More to 2007" page, as well as other webpages.

Consumer issues will have its own pages "alerts"; for here, a note:  it is interesting, as we have been continually asked to reexamine the democracy we have here in the US (of) A, that we have long taken for granted, consumer rights.   We are now, as consumers, handling equipment, more sophisticated than ever, in design and USE.  How are we doing?  This will be taken up after Valentine's DAY!!

On this day,  with 4-10 inches of snow packed on the ground, and, having surpassed Feb. 2 Groundhog's Day, and February's President's Day  (although rumor has it that post offices were closed also on February 12*), I will continue yesterday's foray into the subject of "accomodating a DEMOCRATIC politics for all".   Can we afford it?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

politics of accomodating all, an American democracy, has many stories.

It is as simple as, giving up your best view or most comfortable seat for the wheelchair-handicapped or DISADVANTAGED person.

It is as complicated as refusing to help your fellow man on the street, or yet more complicated by job security - I've got to get to work, KEEP MY JOB, and (will I ever make it to/making it to-) retirement issues.

Can one make it to retirement respectfully, or shall one need to work elsewhere?

The civilian workforce, and the telecommunications-focused workforce, needs restructuring.  When conditions don't change, that's because that's all someone gets PAID to doAdministrative positions have the most burden, of hiring issues (e.g., high turnover, wrongly qualified staff promoted or HIRED).

The Black plague, is the plague of no structure in planning, possible.  The expense of ERRORS is too great.  So there becomes a stoppage in MOTION; when things have gone on in one direction too long, it is necessary to stop to change motion [EXISTING DIRECTION OF].

America loves 'originality' -- it'll stop for almost anything original.  On coordinating originality it has had much more difficulty.  Who pays for social security?

*The postal service, has had a few quirks, I've noticed since 2003, or so.  Unnannounced early closings, and closings (on days usually open), have become more frequent.
