This is after a visit to
the Fjords of Bergen, Norway (1997), the Fjords of China (Three Gorges - 2000), and the Columbia Icefields of Canada (2002). Fjord is a Norwegian word, so it is , that I will tell that story here only. Before making it to Bergen, we stopped in Oslo, but
not Lillehammer, NORWAY, both sites of
Olympic games. All to eat in Oslo,
at this late hour, after the car ferry offload from Göteborg (Gotenborg) @ Sweden, was a Chinese restaurant. We had come in from Denmark (Frederikshavn),
after visiting Copenhagen and LEGOLAND.
Fjords are deep
glacier-carved water bodies, that face the ocean. I found a piece of music, onced
performed by New Jersey Youth Symphony (www.njys.org), and appended (with the music sleeve) at the bottom. With
all provided through this webpage, you may be able to get the idea
of monumental or grandly auspicious views, such as visiting the Yosemite Valley, or of flying to Los
Angeles, from the east coast or Chicago, a route that always
includes a mention of the Grand Canyon, if not visible.
Such flying (of a worry-free nature) has not occurred since 1999.
With today’s end (Thanksgiving Day 2006), I have chosen a recipe from Chef Chu’s book, “Chicken
in Phoenix Nest”; it reminds me, in preparation (of the dish), of the “Flying” plates booth, at
Tivoli Gardens (Copenhagen). Please click on the accompanying photo below
for the modified version of this recipe. It is veritably DE-LICIOUS, this
banquet-style DISH.
