1/8 cup garlic hummus (Cedar
brand recommended, see also Cheesy Competition recipe)
Damascus Bakeries Whole Wheat wrapper (as in Cheesy Competition)
Deli-sliced
turkey sandwich meat (such as Shop-Rite oven roasted turkey, 12 oz. pkg)
Jalapeno-colored or light-colored green pepper,
thinly sliced
A few slices of red onion, coarsely chopped
Sandwich Preparation instructions:
Green pepper and red onion
may be prepared in advance. The turkey meat should be sufficient for 3-4 sandwiches.
For one sandwich, use a
toaster oven to warm one whole wheat wrap for a few minutes, then add hummus (about 2 TBSP), and 5-6 slices of cold cooked
turkey, to the center 6 inches of the 12” wrap. Allow to heat another
5 minutes. Then add
grn pepper (up to ½ cup), red onion (*), finishing wrapping, and SERVE! For multiple
sandwiches use two shelves [OF OVEN on warm setting], and heat the turkey topped with red onion slices. Serve open-faced with green pepper to the side.
*Or serve with red onion to the side.
