Rook On 7th Rank--Slaughter on 7th Avenue
By 7th rank we mean the rank that is 7 horizontal rows away from the rank which is the home of your own king. Rook in this position is very powerful since it "restricts" the enemy king, it threatens his pawns and makes tactical threats as well if there are other pieces present.
