Opening Repertoir

French Defense--Advance Variations--Tricks by Black

By tricks we mean games of 15 moves or less. Black wins in all instances here. I suggest you use this opening for your reply to e4 and be sure to study these "tricks" so that you will be ready when your opponent screws up! The result will be a treat to yourself and those who are watching you play. In my own circle of players I have found about half like to use the Advance Variation against me. If you will notice Black wins in these games by tactics on the Queen side. This is in keeping with White's desire to attack on the King side to his advanced "e" pawn.
