Free English Classes

In January of 2009, Wellesley Friendly Aid started a free beginning class for English as a Second Language for adults in the Community Room at the Barton Road public housing site.  Led by an experienced ESL teacher and using ESL dictionaries and workbook materials for each student, six students attended the first class.  The weekly class quickly became popular and grew to twelve students who will be continuing into the third six-week session in May of 2009.
