Food Pantry

In operation since the summer of 1989, the Food Pantry continues to draw on the goodwill efforts of community townspeople. To provide food on a regular basis to people at risk of hunger, the Pantry depends on cash donations and non-perishable food drives held throughout the year by local houses of worship, schools, businesses, scout troops and other organizations.

Roche Brothers, a local supermarket,  provides a collection facility and very generous support for this program.

This year approximately 140 families are registered users. As the number of clients grows, so grows the need for ongoing
support though food drives and cash contributions.

The Pantry welcomes the participation of the citizens of Wellesley to contribute funds or non-perishable food
and to volunteer their assistance at the Pantry and for the Scouting for Food Drive in November.
