Mark is now in Huntington, West Virginia, which is about 1 hour and 50 minutes northwest of Beckley, West Virginia where he was originally. They were transporting him to Fort Wayne and he had heart problems and high fever, so that is why he is in Huntington, WV currently.He ate breakfast this morning- eggs, toast and I think sausage with a drink. This is hopefully a good sign of him getting well again. He is still on dialysis, kidney still not functioning properly.He does have blurred vision from the diabetes as well.He is able to talk, but limited and his memory is limited as well.Please keep him in your prayers!!

Mark will be going through 5 hours of dialysis, which is being done to clean him out extra good.He has been homesick and missing all of us. He has been very wore out from the dialysis, normally they have him on for 4 hours at a time. As far as his kidneys are, not much of a change, they are still not fully functional and by the sound of it, he's got a ways to go. We have been informed that the Transitional Care Unit of St. Joseph Hospital had to give Mark's bed up and we are now waiting on another to become available. We also need to make sure that he gets recertified for another ambulance ride and hopefully this time to Fort Wayne. I believe the extra time this is taking will be reassurance that he will be ready to be moved back near home. I last heard he is basically ready, but no bed available. I really do miss my brother and best friend. We just need to keep praying for him and any financial or other kind of assistance anyone can give would deffinately be appreciated. We are continuing to move all of his belongings from his house into storage, so when they tag the house, none of his things will be in there. We are a little short handed on that as far as people to do heavy lifting but hopefully, God willing we will be able to get things done for Mark.I feel once Mark gets up here and gets visits from family and friends, this will help him out alot and may even help him to recover sooner.

Mark will be coming back to Fort Wayne via air. A flight out of Kentucky will pick him up In Huntington, WV and fly him up to Baer Field. His ETA at the airport is 14:30 and ETA at St. Joe is around 15:00 to 15:30. This is deffinately great news for him and all of us. He will have a bed available, but haven't got the details on this end yet. I will let you know as soon as the details become available. I would say, visitation at the earliest may not be able to happen until this weekend. It depends on what the hospital advises on this and how well Mark is as to how soon he can recieve visitors. If you need me to post anything just send me an e-mail or call and I will make sure it is posted as soon as I can. Thanks. He definately can use alot of support and encouragement right now for him to pull through this.

Mark finally made it to Baer Field and was enroute to St Joe hospital. He may be there by this time, he was in at the airport about 14:45. He will be on the 7th floor, room 721 bed 1 at St Joe hospital downtown. Thank God he's back to Fort Wayne!!:)

Mark has been moved to room 813(isolation-8th floor) as of today. He has had a few seizures and they have got that under control. He has undergone another cat scan and it came out as ok as far as his brain goes. He is undergoing therapy and relearning how to do things over again. They have gave him medicine to help him with his depression. He also knows that he may possibly lose the house. Everyone keep praying for him and if you want to see him, please call me and will find out rules on visitation for you or you can call our Mom @ 260-483-3479

I visited Mark yesterday evening. He is still slowly recovering. He seems to be more alert and he can remember things from before he went to the hospital but anything after that he has trouble with. His bowel movements are uncontrollable and he could go at any moment because of his kidneys not being fully functional. He had another CAT scan done and his brain still appears to be okay physically, but we are not sure yet mentally. It will take some time before we know for sure. He will not be able to go back to driving that we do know.He has been going through therapy. He has been sitting up more as well. We apprciate all of the prayers and help! Thank you!

Mark is doing much better. He has been urinating more and has been put off of dialysis. They had him up walking and getting more exercise.Thank God!!:)He is still having problems with his pancreas though. He's making great progress!!! Keep praying for him.

Mark is walking more everyday.He starts out with a walker and also walks with a cain. I went to see him earlier today. He was his normal humerous self, thank God!!! He is looking better everyday. If he continues at this pace, he should be out of St Joe in no time. What the plan is from there is yet to be determined. He may stay with Mom for a bit until he is able to go out on his own. He refers to Tom as "dumb-dumb" now.Another step in the right direction.

Mark is getting out of St. Joe Hospital already. We now know when Mark may be done with the Hospitals, they estimated 2-3 weeks, depending on how he does with the next step at Parkview. But with his determination, I believe he will be living with Mom in no time and may be out before October 18th.If anyone needs to find out what room Mark is in please call me(483-6132), Donna Karst(our Mom)(483-3479), or Janet(486-7375).The area code is 260 for those who are in a long-distance area. I can't list the room number because of the fact that Tom ("dumb-dumb") may somehow figure out how to navigate to this website and if we can keep him from finding out, it will be better for Mark.

Mark got released from the hospital last Wednesday at 2:30 pm and went to our mom's house to stay there for a while. He went to the YMCA Friday for a therapy session. He is doing very well now and getting out more often. He has went for a few walks with mom and made it to the party/benefit on Saturday. He was very excited about that, especially to get to visit people that he hasn't seen in quite a while.

As of today, Mark still hasn't gotten his Tahoe back or any of the money that Tom has supposedly saved back for him from the sale of Mark's items. He also can't get his snowmobile or snowmobile trailer back. Tom claims Mark still owes him over $1600 and if he pays Tom this money he will get his Tahoe back. Tom also says the Tahoe is half his because his name is on the title, if that's so, then the Tracker is half Mark's because Mark's name is on that title as well.So, when does Mark get his turn to use one of the vehicles that he "owns half of"?Tom was on the run last Sunday when we tried to take Mark to talk to him. We waited for him at Richards in Decatur and when he saw us, Karen and him ran to the Tracker(which supposedly wasn't running), locked the doors and booked it out of there like a bat out of hell. He knows he is guilty of something and afraid to be confronted. He is a coward.We will see about getting Mark's name off the title, dropping the insurance on this vehicle and hopefully we may be even able to get Tom prosecuted for his illegal activity. This mug belongs back behind bars. He is a con, thief, and a child molester
Mark has ditched the cane and his vision is alot better. He has kept his blood/sugar count down.He is getting out more and doing things. We went to a Diabetes sminar last Saturday at the library downtown and I enjoyed getting to spend time with my brother and best friend again.

Mark's Fianacial situation Mark has been put in a bad financial situation not only because of his health and being in the hospital, but also Tom has taken him for another ride and racked up alot of bills. What i mean by another ride is that he left Mark hanging with alot of bills when they lived together on U.S. 27 South in the trailer park. Mark was left with a $400+ cell phone bill which was on 4 cell phones(he had gotten extra phones- one for Tom, one for Karen and One for Karen's Mother). Tom hasn't paid him a dime for this and if these are cancelled, $170 will be owed on each phone because of early termination. Tom also left Mark with a high Verizon Bill for FIOS (TV, Internet, and landline phone) of over $400. He had left him with a high water, electric, and gas bill as well. Tom somehow got his name put on the title for Mark's Tahoe with Mark's name and won't let anyone use it even though Mark had okayed it Tom has royally shafted Mark and doesn't seem to belive he has done any wrong.I have heard Tom stated that " He can include all of this in his bankruptcy". Tom has recently tried to modify Mark's bankruptcy, trying to prolong the deal with house in case things don't work out in Decatur. I give hime 2 months max before she gets tired of his garbage.Karen and her mother will kick him out in no time. He's burning the candle at both ends.Tom may be losing vehicle insurance soon, he wrongfully got insurance on his "great" Geo Tracker and if it's not partially in Mark's name legally his insurance will be cancelled. Also any money credited to Mark through the insurance will go to Mark and he will be credited, and it will not go to Dumb Dumb hillbilly Tom!! Tom is officially a schmuck and a low life. He has somehow gotten Mark's name put on the title for the Geo trasher(tracker) without Mark's knowledge. Seems to me this would be illegal. (Facts about Tom): Tom has no conscience and looks out for one person and that is Tom. Also He has to be in control of everything and it really frustrates him when he's not in control. Tom has been diagnosed a a pathelogical liar and also is a well known con artist.He has a rap sheet longer than the statue of liberty's arm- theft(auto, property). Also he molested children. He has tried things with my sister( when she lived at home) and his nephews girlfriend and some others. They didn't do anything about this because they were too afraid.Tom supposedly is retired from the military and CIA and still working undercover for the CIA to try and bust drug dealers. What in the world. Also, I found out that Tom had to cover all of the costs of the trip to West Virginia, including a round trip flight for all of us who went. I really don't remember flying in an airplane down there and back or Tom paying for the hotel room. He did cover gas for the trip and not much more than that. Fighting for Mark I have decided at this point, I need to take a stand against Tom and fight for what's right and stick up for my brother. Mark has been there for me and helped me out and I'd be totally lost without him, and now it's my turn to help in when he's in need. He is my brother and best friend and I love him very much!!!:)
