Mara Prescott
Mara is short and slender, with a round, pretty face that doesn't quite attain beauty. Her eyes are wide and owl-like, and a vibrant green, and her hair is long and fine and a light ginger-blonde color. Slender, arching brows are usually knitted together in a sign of concentration. Her nose is small and slightly pert, and her mouth naturally turns down slightly at the corners. She tends to dress conservatively, favoring practicality over fashion concerns. She favors dark or neutral colors, and simple lines that don't accentuate her figure. When travelling in areas where her hair color is unusual, she usually wears a hood. When concentrating, she has a habit of absentmindedly twirling, chewing or braiding a lock of her hair. She comes across as quiet and serious, not the type to do much of anything for the sake of enjoyment alone.
Mara Prescott is the child of a Church-sponsored scholar, and his weaver and seamstress wife. She has one sibling - a brother by the name of Joshua who was, last she saw him, a drunk and a womanizer and exactly what her parents didn't want their son to be. Surprisingly, the two of them got on fairly well... Avalonian in heritage, her family moved to Castille when that nation abandoned the Vaticine church. Her father taught at one of the great Universities there, and she spent her time mending students' clothes for a few coins, and sitting in on particularly interesting lectures. She would likely have ended up in a life of academia, were her parents not mysteriously murdered one night. She is currently searching for her brother - last she heard, he was in Eisen - to inform him of their parents' death... and to find a way of keeping the same thing from happening to others.
