It is the eyes that captivate most people first. A deep dark blue suggesting hidden depths, a directectness that can be breathtaking, or possibly give affront, except for the lively laughter that dances within. Passion there is for certain but then the Vodacce are renowned for it. Of good stock, the bearing and confidence attest to that even if one does not notice the quality of the clothing. Sociable too, manners are polished and the dress conforms with the latest fashion. Maybe a trifle understated, dark too, but the quality confers class.
That said, there is a hint of wildness, his dark wavy hair maybe not conforming completely to neatness; a restlessness of the eyes at times. All of the aforementioned adding to his magnetism with the fair sex; although possibly detracting from his popularity with other men, especially those who are husbands with attractive wives. Still, his average build and height may lull the unwary but a trained eye could see the body and reflexes of a trained swordsman. It would appear then that the sabre he carries is not just for show despite the intricate silver filigree web of the basket hilt that would cover his sword hand. The sheath depicts a similar pattern against black leather. The pommel sports a single blue gem, almost a perfect match for his eyes.
Raffaele is the subject of some interest amongst the Vodacce at court, spending much of his time in Medico, attracted no doubt by the lavish parties. He cultivates an air of mystery and there are many rumours as to where he sprang from; some say an upstart from the craft classes, others a visitor from another coutry (perhaps Eisen) looking to make his fortune or perhaps a noble returning from exile to reclaim his family's place in society. His flair for languages, and he has demonstrated several, make it difficult to pin down his exact origins.
