The oldest book still in existence which was printed with movable metal type is The Selected Teachings of Buddhist Sages and Son Masters (Pulcho chikchi simch'e yojol), which was printed at Hungdok-sa Temple on the outskirts of Ch'ongju, Korea in 1377. There are hundreds of years of printing, and thousands of scribal tradition which must be considered in even the most modern of work.
