We loved to camp and started with a tent and pickup camper
shell about 40
years ago. Later, we purchased a 20 foot camping trailer which we
subsequently
sold and purchased a 31 foot Holiday Rambler Trailer. After Walt
underwent
triple bypass heart surgery for the second time, we felt the trailer
was too
much and traded it on a 1989 30 foot Pace Arrow Motor Home which we
loved. Now
that is really roughing it!!!!!! The elements of time are rapidly
closing in on
us. We experienced difficulties on a recent trip and the tow operator
failed to
secure the unit properly, allowing it to break free, damaging two other
vehicles and totaling the MH. Fortunately, nobody was injured. Needless
to say,
our camping days are over.
We had organized a square dance/camping group called the Hitch 'n Go
Squares.
That was a lot of fun, but due to declining numbers, the October 2002
campout
was our final formal campout for that group.
HAPPY CAMPING AND REMEMBER TO LEAVE YOUR CAMPSITE IN
AS GOOD OR BETTER
CONDITION THAN YOU FOUND IT.
