THE GEYSLER FAMILY
I have not done any research on this family to date. Some say the spelling
might have been Giessler or Geisler. Our ancestor is Johan Conrad Geysler who
apparently traveled to America arriving in Philadelphia on the same ship as the
Dague brothers; or certainly about the same time. His daughter, Anna Maria
Geysler, married (Johannes) Frederick Dague after his first wife died. They
were married in a Lutheran Church in the Lancaster Pennsylvania area and later
moved to the Washington, Pennsylvania area where they farmed until their death.
They are buried side by side in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery just
North of Lone Pine, Pennsylvania.
NOTE: Johannes is added by some researchers but a Johannes arrived in 1764.
