Enlisted in the
Army in Hagerstown, MD in
1791 and fought in the Northwest Indian Wars after which he was
stationed at
Fort Washington near the site of Cincinnati, OH. He later survived the
St.
Clair's defeat being wounded he spent time in a
hospital at Fort
Washington and was
discharged after 30 days being unable to continue. discharged on
November 27,
1791. (Infantry volunteers). Land and other record information is in
Winchester, VA courthouse and Handley Library in Winchester, VA.
