NPRM- 1997 RESULTS 
	The following is a summary of rule changes that you will see in the 
competitive structure for the 97-98  contest year. With
the exception of NARAM- 39 these rules are effective July 1 , 1997. 


RCP #700130-00 Sync up the Pink Book with the safety code   ** PASSES
RCP #700060-00 Prohibit contestants from a contest after its conclusion   ** 
PASSES
RCP # 700080-00 DQed flight can not be considered a returned flight ** PASSES
RCP #700160-00 Self penalizing flights are not necessarily a DQ  ** PASSES
RCP #700030-00 Air starting in cluster altitude will be eliminated ** PASSES
RCP #700050-00 Single Stage events may airstart  ** FAILS
RCP #700150-00 Contestants may select a target time for RCRG **PASSES
RCP #700110-00 Judges are not allowed to withhold places in R&D **FAILS
RCP #700120-00 Allow quick corrective action by the Contest Board with rule 
problems  **PASSES
