How to Measure for a Good Fit
The better your clothes fit your unique body, the more flattering they will look on you and the more comfortable they will feel. If you can supply us with accurate measurements of your proportions, we'll do our best to tailor your customized item so that it fits you in a personalized way – not too snug or too loose, but just right. The proper size is very important because we want you to look and feel great! So before buying or requesting a certain size, please take a few moments and follow our measurement instructions below.
Measuring tips:
- You will need a soft (and accurate) tape measure. Keep the measuring tape comfortably "snug" on your body but not too tight, and measure the fullest part of each area.
- For the most ease and accuracy, it helps to have another person assist you in taking your measurements. Your posture will be natural and more relaxed. Otherwise, use a full-length mirror as an aid.
- When you measure, be sure to wear only the clothing that you typically wear underneath your dresses, such as your undergarments. For example, if you plan to wear a bra beneath your dress, measure yourself with a bra.
- Please specify if you want the item to fit you in a certain way: snug and curve-hugging, slightly loose, roomy, etc. Or you can add extra room to your measurements according to the desired looseness of fit.
- If you have any doubts or questions about measurements or sizes, simply ask us and we'll try to help!
The measurements:
![[Body diagram]](diagram3.gif)
- BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest (bust) while your arms hang relaxed at your sides. The tape measure should be under your arms and kept level (horizontal) and flat against your back, but not pulled too tight.
- UNDER THE BUSTLINE: Measure around your ribcage directly under the breasts, keeping the tape measure at a level height. Make sure that you are exhaling while measuring.
- WAIST: Measure around your natural waistline, which is the narrow part of your body that "creases" when you bend from side to side.
- UPPER HIPS: Go approximately 3 inches below your natural waistline and wrap the tape measure around that area.
- HIPS: With your feet together, measure around the center of your rear-end, at the fullest part – which is usually about 7"-9" below the natural waistline. (This area could be called your "seat".)
- FULL DRESS LENGTH: Measure from the highest point of your shoulder straight down to the desired length for the hemline. (For pre-made sizes, measure down to the length stated in the item description in order to estimate where the hem will fall on your body.)
Additional measurements:
- BUST POINT: Measure from your shoulderline straight down to the bust point (tip of the nipple).
- BUST DISTANCE: Measure the distance from one bust point (tip of the nipple) to the other.
- TORSO LENGTH: Measure from your shoulderline straight down to your natural waistline.
- SKIRT LENGTH: Measure from your natural waistline straight down to the desired length for the hemline, such as from your waist to your knees. (For pre-made sizes, measure from your waistline down to the dress/skirt length stated in the item description in order to estimate where the hem will fall on your body.)

Size Charts
These charts are for our items that come in pre-made size categories. Find the chart that best corresponds with your height and build. Then use your waist, bust, and hip measurements to determine the best size for you. If your measurements seem to fall between two sizes, choose the bigger size. Depending on how snugly or loosely you prefer your clothes to fit you, you may want to subtract any desired extra room from the listed measurements in order to determine whether a specific size will be roomy enough for you.
