I spent the better part of an afternoon coding the program to create equation art images (a fairly simple task), and trying to find an image worth saving. This consists of making small changes to variables in the equations for each color component, red, green, and blue, then recompiling and running the program, viewing the image, and trying to decide what changes to make, repeating indefinitely.

I was beginning to get rather discouraged, and decided to take a break from the work for awhile; but as I was setting off on an aimless web-surfing expedition, a new idea popped into my head. Applying it to the equations brought me fairly close to the final image, and I spent another couple of hours tweaking and adjusting until I was satisfied. I was completely blown away to find such a compelling image on my first foray into equation art!
