- The MBC Focus singles group presents "Joyeux Noel” on
Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm at McLean Bible Church in Community Room C on the
lower level.
An Unexpected Truce!
It’s Christmas Eve 1914, during WWI, where
German soldiers are in trenches one side and
French and Scottish soldiers are in trenches on
the other side of the 100 meters, “No Man’s
Land”. And something phenomenal happens, an
unauthorized truce takes place spontaneously!
Based on a true story, this astonishing recount
of what took place that night is intriguing,
especially to pacifists and to Christians . . . why?
Share an evening of fun, fellowship, food, and
discussion about the impact of this movie’s
storyline on our lives as followers of Jesus Christ.
Bring a covered dish, per person, to share for 10 people that are ready-to-serve and arrive by 5:20 pm are greatly appreciated by the Food Team-Thank you.

- The MBC Focus singles group presents "The Ron Clark Story” on
Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm at McLean Bible Church in Community Room C on the
lower level.
No one believed in them except him.
A young innovative teacher is motivated to take
on a group of misfits and troubled students in
Harlem’s toughest school. He is up against huge
obstacles that he has never faced before, and the
odds are stacked against him having any success.
He has to change his strategy, somehow, someway,
to get through to these kids.
Come see what methods Ron Clark resorts to,
in the midst of his impending defeat, in this
true, modern-day story.
