The Sheer Plank will add much needed strength to the sides of the boat before the skin can be added.

You can see a thin piece of oak glued down onto the fixture acting as a gauge for the Sheer Plank.

Now we glue up four thin pieces of oak to begin creating the Sheer Plank.

The thin oak strips follow the contour on the gauge thats glued to the fixture.

Using thin strips as laminate enable the wood to follow tight curves and make the piece very strong

We used the same side of the fixture for both pieces. We will add three more strips to each Plank.
