Raw Material Ready for fabrication

The gates stand 10 feet high and 16 feet wide, are approx. 700 pounds a pair with three to four 300 pound rated barrel hinges on each leaf with ball bearings and are operated with computer controlled gate openers. We made two sets of these gates for the property

We welded temporary angles on the posts .

We pre-primed the gates. Finish goes on after install.

We used 2x6 plank going across in the picture above. This board is attached to friction blocks installed to each of the two metal posts. Both top and bottom of each post get this arrangement to assure proper distance between the posts. We attached spreaders cut to length to the exact distance needed between the posts. Once the "spreaders" where in place, we used a hand winch to draw each post up tight and into alignment. The posts weighed 150 pounds each and had 1,000 pounds of concrete in each hole.

26 Feet Wide
Made in sections

This Gate spans an access road with water on each side. Templates where made to fit the slope on each side of the road. All the sections where pre-fabricated off premises.
