In far Azshara, there is what appears to be an expedition of Blood Elves attempting to prepare the way for a larger activity. On the high edge of a cliff overlooking the ruins, a number of tents have been set up, and stacks of supplies have also been brought in. The personnel are called reclaimers and surveyors, and they are levels 51 through 52. Azshara is one of the more advanced realms, not recommended for people below level 48. In addition, the Thalassians respond with violence to members of the Horde as well as the Alliance. Thus it is difficult to determine what this group is doing and how we might contact them in peace. We can surmise that this expedition is part of a secret plan - whose plan we do not know - to learn more about the great disaster that caused the Sundering of the continents and of the Elves, and perhaps repair this great rift. The camp overlooks the coast which marks the site of the former Elven capital, Zin-Azshari. Thus, other possibilities come to mind. Perhaps this group of Thalassians is actually a secret project of the Blood Elf government, attacking us when we approach because the government does not want us to know what they are doing. If that is the case, their goal may be something both wonderful are terrible, such as rebuilding the Well of Eternity based on technology they find in the ruins. |
