Gene as he prefered to be called, was quite artistic and had a great imagination.
He won numerous awards for his display window designs, including several national 1st prizes.
His Christmas windows were always the very best.

The New Generation in Kitchen Ranges.


This was one of his first window when he worked for Younker's - State of the Art Electrical Appliances of late 1920's



Also favorites were his spring 'It is time to go fishing' windows.
The trees are real. He would buy Christmas trees after christmas (cheap)
and store them behind the house covered with snow. Come spring they were still fresh.
