How is Xcel different?

What makes Xcel Martial Arts different from other schools?

At Xcel the students WILL learn martial arts. We will not promote students just to collect belt fees and keep them going. You pay to learn, we will teach.

There are NO "upgrade" programs. Everything is included in your monthly tuition. No extra fees for Demo team, Weapons training, Tournament training, etc. ALL training is in One fee. All students are trained equally, you do not have to pay extra to get better training.

Color Belt Promotion tests are low cost, not $50 to $90 like other schools.

All instructors are Master Instructors who all trained together so teaching is consistent.

No surprises. The curriculum is in writing for all to see and practice. When it is time to test the students know exactly what is expected of them.

All classes focus on Discipline and Respect.

Instructors get to know all the students and talk to all the students. No one should feel they are being ignored.

We love what we do and we love passing on our training to our students.

We have specially designed programs with age appropriate training.

We don't pressure into signing up. If a school pressures you into signing up that day, run away. You should be allowed to make an informed decision and decide on your own where you want to train.

When you think about what you expect to get out of the martial arts...think about Xcel. Go ahead, check the other schools, and then come to us to get what you really want.

Here are some questions you need to ask:

How much are belt test fees? Do they go up as the student gets higher in rank?

What is the rank of the person teaching my/my child's class?

Is there separate fees for Demo Team, Weapons Training, Tournament training? Are any of the these required?

Is there special uniforms to purchase for different programs? (such as black belt club) Are they required? If so, how much?

How will I/my child know what is required for each belt? How will I/my child know when ready to test?

How often are the mats cleaned? and how? who does it?

What experience does my/my child's instructor have?

Are parents allowed to watch their child's class?

How many classes per week are allowed?

Can I/my child have a free trial class?
