For the past several years Derec Markle has been involved with Landscape operations, more specifically implementation of hardscapes and landscape construction. In these years, he has been able to estimate and oversee projects ranging from $2000 to $850,000.

His green industry experience's started in a greenhouse in 1989. Learning the green industry from the ground up, he began to understand some the intricacies of a small business. 

  Derec started his education at Penn State in pursuit of a degree in Forestry, but quickly changed his major to Golf Course Management. 

While in South Carolina attending classes for golf course management, he was employed by the athletic department grounds crew at Coker College, Home of the World Champion Coker College Cobras.

With the completion of a degree, he returned to landscaping.

 In the 2004 season, the decision was made to modify our place within the green industry.

The pace in which urban sprawl is altering Central Pennsylvania's fertile farmland is alarming. The lack of environmental and long-term planning in Centre County has, and will continue to have serious consequences for future residence.

 It became more and more apparent that a Consulting firm, with employees specializing in different areas could be beneficial not only to the local economy but to the environment as well.
