July 12, 2007: Update on the new episode premieres (finally!). On Nickelodeon, during the week of July 9 - 13, "Phantomania" will premiere which will feature five new Season 3 episodes: #42, 43, 44, 45 and 47 (#46 was URban Jungle which aired back in October 2006.) In other news, some really cool Danny Phantom merchandise has been released in Latin America, including a DVD of "The Ultimate Enemy" (recorded and subtitled in English, Spanish, and Portuegese), and a large selection of backbacks and other school accessories for kids. Hopefully, we will see some of this great stuff in the USA eventually as well.

June 11, 2007: Today Butch Hartman notified me that the new premiere date for new Danny Phantom episodes is going to be July 23, 2007. Also, starting June 1, 2007, Danny Phantom was added to the Nicktoons network line-up, airing at 9:00PM with a repeat at midnight on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays EST. So far, only reruns of Season 1 episodes have been airing there, but they seem to be showing them more or less in order.

April 4, 2007: I am very pleased to announce that new episodes of Danny Phantom (Season 3) are slated to air in the USA in June 2007 as part of a Nickelodeon summer event. Mr. Hartman himself gave me this snippet of information and approved its release. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Nick finally comes through for us!

January 18, 2007: Today Butch Hartman (executive producer and creator of Danny Phantom) announced on his official forum the establishment of "Hartman House," a charitable organization founded by Mr. Hartman and his wife Julieann in 2005. January 11, 2007: "Eye for an Eye" and "Infinite Realms," episodes 41 and 42 respectively from Season 3 of Danny Phantom, premiered today on Latin America Nickelodeon. There is still no word on when these episodes will air in the USA.

January 7, 2007: Butch Hartman announced HERE today that Danny Phantom has been nominated for three Annie awards this year (animation industry's equivalent to the Oscars). The three nominations are across two categories: Character design for the episode "King Tuck," and Storyboarding for "Urban Jungle" -- both by Ben Ballistrari; and Storyboarding for the episode "Reality Trip" by Shaunt Nigogossian. Also, Butch Hartman's other hit series, Fairly OddParents, was nominated for the highest award there is for an animated TV show: best animated television production. Best of luck to all the nominees! July 28, 2006: Butch Hartman has made an announcmenet HERE clarifying the (unchanged) cancellation status of Danny Phantom. In this message, he explains his personal definition of the the word "cancellation" regarding TV shows, and further clarifies that while production of new episodes of Danny Phantom is ended -- per a decision made by Nickelodeon executives in January of this year (announced on January 24, 2006) -- the show will still stay on the air with a final season of thirteen new episodes starting in September, and will continue in reruns on Nick after that for "years to come."

August 20, 2005: "Nick Picks Volume 2" DVD has been announced and is set to be released on October 18, 2005 (unconfirmed). In addition to other NickToons on this DVD, episode #5, "Splitting Images," of Danny will be in this Volume! Also, the Gameboy Advanced game "The Ultimate Enemy", which coincides with the Danny episode/movie of the same name (to premiere September 16, 2005 according to Nickelodeon Magazine), is slated to be released on September 6, 2005 (unconfirmed).
In other Danny news worldwide, Nickelodeon Germany has been announced! Their website went live August 15, 2005, and the network will be on air starting September 12, 2005 (unconfirmed). Rumor is that Danny will be among the premiere line-up, dubbed in German! Whee! Oh, and be sure to check out Nickelodeon Belgium too! Rumor has it that Danny will be joining the Nick-Belgium line-up very soon. Finally, Danny is scheduled to begin airing in Holland on September 17, 2005! August 13, 2005: The first commercial for the Danny Phantom TV movie event The Ultimate Enemy aired today at 11:15AM EST. To my knowledge, this is the earliest before an episode/movie premiere that Nick has *ever* aired a commercial. I think this is going to be big, gang. August 3, 2005: TWO brand new Danny Phantom contests have been unveiled by Nickelodeon! Read about them on the DPOF here. The contests are being advertized on boxes of Cap'n Crunch cereal (yes, you heard right -- Danny is on the cereal boxes!), so be sure to check him out at your nearest grocery store.
Also, Burger King will be releasing a series of DP toys with their kids' meals starting in September, 2005. Read Butch Hartman's announcement on this on his forum here. More info as it becomes available! Hurray for the marketing of Danny! This is really terrific news, gang, as it shows Nick's increasing dedication to the show, IMO. ^_^

Nickelodeon Magazine (July 2005) has announced the first Danny Phantom "movie" to air, Reign Storm, on Saturday, July 30, 2005, 8:00PM EST. This movie will also air at 9:00PM EST on Friday July 29, 2005, and Sunday, July31 at 4:00PM EST. This is a one-hour special consisting of episodes 24 and 25, and will be the first one-hour length Danny broadcast ever! Warm up your VCRs and DVD recorders!

I am super excited to announce that registration for our final SAVE DANNY fan rally is now open. This final live rally event will be held in concert with the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Saturday March 28, 2009 from 8AM to 5PM on the UCLA campus near the Pauley Pavilion where the KCA is held. Registration forms, rules, and info can be found HERE.
Of especially magnificent coolness for this rally, BUTCH HARTMAN, creator and executive producer of the Danny Phantom series, has very graciously promised to visit us this year. 'What, really?' you may say. Yes, really! If you ever wanted a chance to meet Mr. Hartman in person, you now may have an excellent opportunity. We will also have a very special gift for Butch that we will present to him in honor of the Fifth Dannyversary. (Gosh, has it really been five whole years??)
As those will recall from previous years, these rally events are always a blast, and this one should be especially so as it is in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the premiere of Danny Phantom, and will also be OUR LAST RALLY EVER. We'll have gifts for all attendees (something very neato this year!), DP memorabilia to enjoy, episodes running on DVD, and stuff to munch on throughout the day, and there will be lots of fans and friends of all ages to geek out with. We *may* have some additional very special guests stop by to visit us, too. And maybe, just maybe, we'll finally be able to change Nickelodeon's mind about one more Danny season.

Well, it seems that Time Warner and Viacom pulled an eleventh-hour compromise that saved many of Viacom's networks, such as Nickelodeon, from being pulled from the Time Warner cable line-up. Still, this should have been a HUGE wake-up call for Viacom, specifically for their kids' networks like Nick, whose ratings have been floundering for three years, coincidentally along the same timeline as Danny Phantom, and other of their top shows, being cancelled. Or maybe not so coincidentally...?

Okay gang, this is about the biggest news we have ever announced since the cancellation of our beloved series.
Both Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks have made a decision to DROP Nickelodeon (and 18 other network channels) from their cable line ups.
I can pretty much guarantee that this is in direct response to lack of viewership, which, from everything I have read, has gone steadily downhill for Nick ever since Cyma Zarghami took over in January 2006 and canceled Nick's second, third, and fourth-rated animated programs (DP, FOP, JN). Their programming decisions since then have, IMO, been disappointing at best. For the first time ever, this past year Disney Channel has surpassed Nick in number of viewers according to Neilsen ratings I have been following.
NOW IS THE TIME TO CALL YOUR CABLE COMPANY and express your disappointment in Nickelodeon and your understanding for why your cable provider would choose to drop it from their line up. Note that we are NOT urging you to call to congratulate their decisions or to malign Nickelodeon, but rather, to express your concern about Nick's dismal programming choices since 2006, its cancellation of excellent series in favor of not-so-excellent ones, and a clear explanation that if they were to bring back good animated programs like Danny Phantom, you/your family would be much more likely to watch them again (and support their commercials.)
Time Warner Cable customers: 800-762-3786
Bright House Networks customers: 866-309-3279
Two things:
1. You MUST be 18 years of age to call these numbers. Kids, ask your parents.
2. You MUST be a customer of these cable providers to get through to these customer service lines.
Guys, this is big. REALLY BIG. It means that cable providers are reevaluating their lineups, noting which networks are getting the most viewers and thus the most exposure to their advertisers. Those that are not performing well any more are being dropped. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR THREE YEARS. And now it is now coming true.
Gang: we need to run with this. CALL. NOW.
Kids: again, you MUST get your parents' permission and have an adult call.
One last thing. Think this isn't a big deal? Nickelodeon is so concerned about this huge loss of exposure that they are running a large 24/7 scrolling marquee along the bottom of all their programming to beg viewers to call Time Warner and Bright House to reverse their decision. Hm. Seems we've spent a lot of time begging Nick to reverse theirs on something, too, now what was it again...?
CALL. Tell your friends. This could be the karmic break we've been holding out three years for.

While going through the files, I was reminded just how many of our screencaps are housed on OC's server, and unfortunately, it looks like this may be down indefinitely. While this does not affect anything hosted on the DPOFPA directly, any cap that we have linked to on this other server won't show up. Rather than continue to pursue these missing caps, I have decided it will be more expeditious to simply recap the episodes and rehost the images here. I will be starting with The Fright Before Christmas, as befitting the season. Will have them up as soon as I can. :)

Finally finished uploading screencaps for The Ultimate Enemy -- all 17,000 of them. Whew. Check them out HERE.
In other news, AOL has announced the permanent closing of Hometown, their member-use server space for personal websites. For those with a program, yes, that is in fact the very location where all 93MB of the DPOFPA (not including the 12 GB of screencaps and other images which are hosted elsewhere) is hosted. Not to worry though; we have already located a new home for the DPOFPA on verizon.net where I also have ample free member space. We've already copied and moved most of the site to its new home there, and we'll be announcing the new address shortly.
We'll be continuing to update the DPOFPA here until October 31 when Hometown shuts down, then we'll continue on our new server with no breaks and no down-time if all goes well. We do want to encourage folks to go to www.dannyphantom.com which is our newest fansite and will ultimately contain everything the DPOFPA does and more, at which point we'll probably archive DPOFPA for nostalgia and continue with dannyphantom.com only. The copying over of info from the DPOFPA to dp.com has been in progress for some time and will take a lot longer than simply moving the DPOFPA to its new server since everything needs to be re-coded by hand for dp.com. But enough of the hairy details.

Well, another NYC SAVE DANNY Rally has come and gone, and despite rain, hail, wind, and sunburn (all in the same few hours!), we still gathered more than 600 signatures on our petitions, and talked with literally thousands of people about the show. All in all, a very good day.
In other news, I've finally gotten up three new episode transcripts, painstakingly completed by our Transcriber-Savant Dennis Dunjinman and proofed by our wonderful Editor-in-Chief Skyechan. I am happy to announce a small bit of good news! Nickelodeon has REPLACED Danny Phantom in its (lackluster) 6:30AM weekend timeslot! Regardless of whether this was in response to our urging or something else, we are taking it as a VERY good sign.
We are still going forward with our FINAL SAVE DANNY RALLY in New York to drive home the point that we still want more Danny. The event be held on Monday August 11, 2008. Please see THIS website for more info and registration forms. Note that you MUST be registered in order to attend this event for security reasons.

Well, gang, it's finally happened: Nickelodeon has pulled Danny Phantom completely from their lineup. As of this week, they are no longer showing even reruns, according to their own online TV schedule, and to TVGuide, Dish, and TiVo listings. Thankfully, their accessory network, Nicktoons Network, *is* showing Danny -- both episodes and movies -- on almost every day of the week, so those of us with Nicktoons Network can at least still enjoy the show on air.
In final protest to Nickelodeon's handling (and removal) of the series, we will be hosting a final SAVE DANNY Rally in New York on August 11, 2008 in front of the Viacom building. We will have more information soon about this event but, for now, if you have ever wanted to attend a SAVE DANNY NYC rally, now is the time because this is definitely going to be the LAST ONE we will ever have -- one last ditch effort made to the Viacom bigwigs to save our show.

In other news, I just had a wonderful conversation with an editor from Nickelodeon Magazine who would like us to remind everyone of the great new section on Nick.com: NickMag Online comics! In this section, classic, new, and original series comics are presented for viewers' pleasure, organized by show for ease of navigation. You can rate your favorites, too! Both the Danny Phantom comics chosen for display so far have continually been in the top ten, which is a great statement about how popular the show still is, despite having been out of production for more than two years. This is why we are still fighting the good fight to get more new episodes of Danny made. See the SAVE DANNY sections of the site for ways you can help.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Boy-howdy, it's been a while since our last update. What with the LA Rally in March (which went swimmingly -- thank you so much, David!), then the Fourth Dannyversary celebration in April, it's been a very busy few months.
As many of you know, we also just recently released our new Danny fansite: www.DannyPhantom.com thanks to a wonderful and devoted benefactor. We are still very much in the process of transferring over our gigabytes worth of data to the new site, which we also just moved to a new server to give us more space and bandwidth, so please bear with us as we continually strive to improve your Danny Phantom surfing experience!
In other News, we finally have our ever-back-burnered FANLIT section up and running. In this section, we are featuring some awesome stories written by fans featuring Butch Hartman's characters and universes from the Danny Phantom series. We have many more truly amazing pieces to upload to this section, and have only just begun, so stay tuned!

Okay, gang, we have a very exciting update on the SAVE DANNY L.A. Rally, March 29, 2008. As a result of his incredibly generous nature, DAVID KAUFMAN, voice of Danny Fenton/ Danny Phantom, will be paying rally-goers a special visit on the day of the event! Mr. Kaufman has confirmed that he will be stopping by the rally to spend some time with his fans and supporters of the show! As a busy stage, TV, and voice actor, this is incredibly kind of him to donate some of his weekend for us, so thank you , Mr. K!
To attend the rally event, you need to send in a registration form, available on the Rally Site, postmarked no later than March 1, 2008. We will help arrange hotel rooms for all attendees, and, as a result of some very generous DPOF members, we may be able to partially subsidize folks who have difficulty affording lodging.
This is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so hurry and get your forms in ASAP!

We have updated the website for the SAVE DANNY 2008 Rally (to be held in Los Angeles next year) to include more hotel, travel, and restaurant information, along with two versions (jpg and downloadable pdf) of the registration form. Announcement has been made on the Danny Phantom Online Forums that the yearly Dannyversary project (2008) is now open for submissions. We are starting a bit earlier this year because this time, a custom-designed quilt containing the fans' artistic and writing submissions will be professionally produced and rendered as a beautiful wall-hanging for Butch Hartman in celebration of four years of Danny Phantom. We've already given him three lovely collage fanwork posters over the years, so we decided it was time for something different!

Still having issues with my web design software; my apologies for lack of updates. Hopefully we'll have this issue solved with a site overhaul we have currently underway.

As many have already heard, Butch Hartman has given me notification that new Season 3 Danny episodes are set to premiere on July 23rd on Nickelodeon. Nick has changed this date at least three times now that I am aware of -- it's not Butch's fault. Let's hope that this time Nick'll stick with their timetable. Danny is now also showing on Nicktoons network. See sidebar for more info.
The deadline (June 30th) for registration for the (probably final) SAVE DANNY Rally in New York City (to be held Monday July 23, 2007) is rapidly approaching. If we don't meet a minimum number of registrants by June 30th, the Rally Coordinator has announced that this event will be canceled, so if you are planning to attend, get your registration forms in NOW. The NINTH OFFICIAL CALL TO ACTION for the SAVE DANNY campaign is up and under way. This time we are going to be writing to our cable providers to let them know just how disappointed we are in Nickelodeon - both their decision to cancel new episode production of Danny, and to withhold airing Season Three eps while the rest of the world has gotten most to all of them.
The Cable Providers literally are the life's blood of cable networks like Nick, and if the subscribers aren't happy, the providers can put huge pressure on networks to clean up their acts or risk being dropped from their lineups.

Did some general site maintenance, and started on the very arduous task of updating the Merchandise section, thanks in great part to tireless work by Skyechan and Wixom. THANK YOU! And as I was doing this, I realized that we really *have* had a lot of cool Danny stuff in stores over the past two years. Too bad that so much of it was temporary or in response to a movie event of other promotion.
In other news, we're gearing up for this year's Dannyversary on April 3rd! *throws confetti* We'll be hard-pressed to beat the uber-cool party we had last year on the forum, but we'll sure try!
Also, we have officially announced this year's SAVE DANNY 2007 NYC Rally. It will be held Monday July 23rd in from the Nick/Viacom building in New York. Just updated the SAVE DANNY pages with an extensive list of facts, figures, and links to their published sources to provide tangible evidence to support the campaign, demonstrating beyond a doubt that Danny Phantom is not only one of Nick's most popular animated series, but also one of its most professionally recognized and decorated. This information provides new fuel to the SAVE DANNY campaign, showing the network executives that, more than just a fan favorite, Danny is a blockbuster in the making, just waiting for them to market it.
Go forth and use this information in your letters, my friends. It is undeniable proof for the Nick and Viacom execs that Danny is well worth their time and effort to keep in active production.

January 12, 2007:
Wow, it's been a long time since we've had an update! With no new episodes since October of last year, it's been quite long dry spell. But, it has given us DPOF staffers time to work on some other things, like SCREENCAPS. Yes, we finally have some new ones, which I think ya'll will really like.
This time, we have a real treat in store, as the latest caps are for the phenomenally- animated episode "Micro-Management" and there are over 7000 of them this time. Yes, that's seven thousand. And yes, I am a nut, but this episode was just so gorgeous, I couldn't stop until I had most of it captured nearly frame by frame (or as fast as my capture card could manage.) When viewed together, it is almost like watching the episode, and gives some really interesting insight into "inbetween" shots and some of the other "tricks" of creating smooth and compelling animation. Enjoy!

Remember that this episode, "Urban Jungle", part of the special Nickelodeon TV event "Phantom Phreeze" is actually the sixth of the new season NOT the first! Greetings Phantom fans! I have some good news regarding our screencaps! As many of you have noticed, our episode screencaps have been down for quite some time. As a result, I will be moving all the images to a new server, but it will take some time. Many of the original caps were lost as a result of a catastrophic hard drive failure, too, so most of the images will have to be re-captured, which will also take time. Hang in there, though. We are aware of the problem and are working our fastest to try to remedy it to get our extensive image library back up and running again.
In other news, the SAVE DANNY PHANTOM Rally in New York City on July 24th was a smashing success! Over 20 loyal Phantom fans came out to show their support for the series, and personnel from the Viacom building (Nickelodeon and MTV crews, specifically) came out to the sidewalk where the fans were assembled to film and interview the attendees on three separate occasions throughout the day.
A Nickelodeon merchandising/marketing group employee (who emphasized the importance of us talking to the retailers to ask for more Danny merchandise) also brought gifts of Danny books and T-shirts to the rally-goers, which was very generous and kind, not to mention unexpected! We think that Viacom and Nick perhaps picked up on the good vibes that the rally was presenting, thanks in large part to Ghostwriter56. She was the organizer and rally coordinator, and made sure that the event was conducted in a positive, supportive, and professional manner - and it paid off in spades (well, T-shirts and videotaping anyway!)
Thank you very much GW56, attendees, and everyone who was there in "spirit." We feel that we really impressed Viacom with our dedication and energy that day. We also made history by being the first TV show fandom to stage a live demonstration in support of their show. Congratulations all around, gang! I am so proud to be a part of this amazing fanbase. :)
Now we need to redouble our efforts in writing to Nick and the RETAILERS ESPECIALLY to continue to remind them that Danny is worth making more products for, as well as keeping in production for a few more seasons! Just a quick update on a few awesome things! First of all, the NYC Rally is a go for Monday, July 24, 2006 in front of the Viacom building (1515 Broadway) from 7AM to 4PM. I am NOT organizing this, so please contact the rally coordinator for more info: monkee@worldpath.net. To coincide with the rally date, we are asking that all fans participate in the ultimate Nickelodeon MAIL-A-THON by writing letters to Nick and Viacom in support of Danny Phantom and mailing them on July 17, 2006 in order to arrive by July 24th. Welcome back to the DPOF-PA. Tremendous apologies for the long absence of updates. Between a catastrophic computer system failure and some other unsavory business that I have had to deal with, it has been a bad few weeks. Or month. Or so. ;)
First of all, the server that hosts our screencaps has been down recently. I am trying to remedy this asap with the help of our web god, OptimumCoder. Please be patient if the screencaps are not loading properly. Use the down time to write more letters to Nickelodeon and the retailers!
Secondly, update on the SAVE DANNY campaign! As we have all seen, a lot more Danny Phantom merchandise has been released recently, which I would really like to believe is due to the immense dedication and letter-writing that fans have been doing. Keep up the good work - our voices are being heard! Click on any of the SAVE DANNY banners on any page to go straight to the SAVE DANNY sections of the website to learn what you can do to help try to reverse the Nick decision to stop production of new episodes. Okay gang, it's time to get back to work on the SAVE DANNY Campaign. We had our fun and celebration time with Danny's second anniversary, but to be sure that he still has many more to come, we need to keep fighting to try to keep the series in active production. As it stands, Nick is still canceling the production of new episodes after #53 which is being recorded this week. After that, it's all over but the crying. If we ever want to see more episodes than that, we need to try to convince Nick to change its mind.

Today is the blackest day for Danny Phantom. Today, Butch Hartman announced the cancelation of production of new episodes of the series by the executives at Nickelodeon. You can read about his announcement here. (note, link may no longer be functional).
Episode #53, set to premiere in February 2007, will now be the series finale.... UNLESS.
We are starting a letter-writing campaign to let Nick know just how much we love Danny, and how much we would love to have the show on the air for more than just three short seasons. We have a page explaining what you can do to help show your support for this remarkable series HERE.
All is not lost yet, gang, and I, for one, am not giving up yet; not by a long shot in fact. It is inevitable that all shows are canceled at some point, but this is just too soon. Danny is still extremely high in the ratings, and we have hardly begun to explore the Danny universe! So let's get crackin' on some letters to Nick and do our best to try to save Danny!

Lots of cool news and schtuff today! Right out of the chute, we finally have confirmation of new Danny episodes next week -- at last! We will have our usual AIM chat starting a half hour before each premiere, one on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and one on Friday, Dec. 9.

Well, gang, looks like Nickelodeon did it to us again. "Secret Weapons" has been recheduled for "sometime" in December last I heard. At least this means they'll be airing the eps in order, right? Sigh.

Good news and bad news, gang. The good news is that we have uploaded a bunch of new avatars, thanks to PhantomGirl and Fubukis_Wraph (thank you!) The bad news is that we have suffered a spate of image theft lately. Go to these two sites on "MySpace": http://www.myspace.com/dice_rune and http://www.myspace.com/goingghost123 to see if any of your works have been pinched. If so, go to the MySpace Report Abuse page and fill out a customer service complaint there. You will need links to your original works, and the link of the thieving sites, and you will need to provide an email address that you can be reached at.
Another such scumbag thief is at: http://phantominus.tripod.com/Ghostzone.html To report them, go to http://help.lycos.com/watchdog/watchdog_form.asp and fill in the form, noting which of your images have been stolen. DO IT. If you do not stand up for your artwork, no one will. Feel free to notify any other artist you recognize on this page who has also been plagiarized, too. It is against the law for these slimeballs to steal your stuff like this, so stand up for your rights!
It is truly a shame that there are such scumbag lowlifes in this world that steal other peoples' artwork, but there they are.
We are also having issues with our screencaps at the moment which is why we are behind with getting up the new ones. Please bear with us!
In other good news, we should be getting "Secret Weapons" on Friday November 18, 2005, if the Nick.com site is accurate. If so, we will have our usual live AIM chat starting a half-hour before the premiere. See you there!

Wow, been a while since our last update. Things have been fairly quiet, what with no new episodes and all. Good news is that we have a bunch of new avatars thanks to zDBZ, Liaranne, Skyechan, and Koni -- thankyou! Also, two new sigs and a really cool magazine cover also by Liaranne. Such talent we have on the fourms! Thank you all so much for the wonderful donations! ^_^
The server hosting our screencaps is down for maintenance right now, so hang tight. Enjoy all the other stuff we have on here while you're waiting! I'll be adding some other cool scans and images, and updating other sections in the meantime. PunkRockGurl of the now-retired DPPA was lucky enough to have arranged an interview with Steve Marmel back in May of 2004 when the show was brand-spanking new. There is a wealth of information in this interview, and we are honored to be able to host it. Check it out!
