Prologue

Fade to FentonWorks. It is day. Zoom in on the house.

Fade to a corner of the lab on the ceiling. Danny Phantom flies up in a ready position with a grin. He turns to the right and zooms down to the left, his fists forward and on a blue action background.

Cut to Tucker and Sam on the ground. They are standing in front of a counter filled with beakers and flasks. Sam is facing right and looking up, holding a clipboard and pencil. Tucker is facing left, holding a speed measurer. They look to the left as Danny zooms from right to left behind them. Tucker then gets ready and grabs the handle of his speed meter, turning to the right and holding up the meter as Danny zooms past him, in front of him. Sam looks up and writes on the clipboard, Tucker’s device beeps.

Cut to the screen on the meter Tucker is holding. Green LED letters illuminate and read “112 MPH”.

Cut to Tucker, looking down.

TUCKER: Hundred and twelve (blinks and looks up) miles per.

Cut to an aerial shot of the lab with Tucker and Sam on the ground as Danny swoops up, seen from the back with his ghostly tail.

TUCKER: Lighten up the speed gun,--

Danny regains his legs.

TUCKER: --dude.

Man, Danny’s fast. Imagine how that distance would work when going on a long flying trip.

As previously stated a long, long, time ago on DPOF, it’s good to know Danny can go that fast since if he could not, there’s no way he could have ever caught Sam when she fell in CF. I forget exactly what speed we established he had to have been going (like Danny, I don’t do math), but it was over 112. Come to think of it, in general, whenever anyone falls and Danny catches them.

Cut to Danny, smiling happily as he hovers in the air. He turns intangible. Danny turns to the left toward the wall, and dives into it. He then dives through the top of the ceiling head-first and assumes a ready position, regaining color.

Cut to Sam looking at the clipboard and writing.

SAM: Intangibility, (puts the clipboard down and looks up) check!

Cut to Tucker and Sam from behind. Danny is hovering above the closed portal. He cringes down and then pops up straight, disappearing from view. Danny crosses his arms and bends his knees in satisfaction as Sam and Tucker look confused, looking behind them, then to the left of them. They both look to the right away from Danny.

SAM AND TUCKER: Danny?

Cut to Danny, invisible. He spreads his arms and bends down, diving down.

Cut to Tucker, confused and holding the speed meter.

TUCKER: Invisibility,--

He turns to the right, smiling and curling the fingers on his free hand.

TUCKER: --check!

Tucker suddenly looks confused and uneasy as Danny invisibly flies head-first into his chest. Tucker is leaning back, glowing all green.

Close-up on Tucker’s eyes. They open as the green glow fades, showing his eyes to be Danny’s green ones.

Cut to Tucker with green eyes, looking stiff. Sam is on the right facing Tucker, looking confused and holding a white remote.

Danny holds up Tucker’s hand.

DANNY: Hi! I’m Tucker!

He leans back holding the speed meter to the side and holding Tucker’s glasses.

DANNY: Don’t let the PDA, glasses and--

He looks to Sam, holding up an arm as if to flex, Sam looks disappointed.

DANNY: --lack of muscles fool ya,--

He leans back and puts Tucker’s arms on his waist.

DANNY: --I’m a *stud*!

Tucker starts glowing green and his lenses are filled with green light as Danny flies out of Tucker’s body invisibly and offscreen. Sam looks down at Tucker as he regains consciousness. Tucker looks irked.

TUCKER: I *hate* when you do that.

Tucker’s fully conscious of that. It’s something unique to Tucker, so he’d know when he’s being overshadowed. Which means he can blame bad actions on “I was possessed by a ghost!”

Cut to the ceiling. Danny flies back up into the shot, smiling happily.

Cut to Sam with her hands on her hips. She has a white remote in one hand. She looks with a determined smile.

SAM: Okay, hotshot! (holds out the remote) Let’s ramp it up!

Cut to the remote in Sam’s hand. It has a panel of green buttons, three red circles on the bottom, two green squares and three green arrows on the front. A red circle is beside the arrows. A red bar where the infrared sensor is on the front. Sam presses the center button in the front. The infrared sensor glows red.

Cut to a part of the lab. A ring descends from the ceiling. Pan right as 3 more descend in a row and two in another in the foreground.

Cut to two rectangular black holes in the wall. Two laser pistols with four holes come out on robotic arms.

Cut to the whole lab with the eight rings and the many lasers in the walls. The portal is in the back. More lasers come out and stand ready.

Cut to Danny, grinning at the ready. He swoops forward with his ghostly tail.

Cut to two rings. Danny flies up and grabs one of them with his hands, crouching on it as he jumps through. He approaches the second ring and flips on it like a gymnast. He grunts with effort as he gleefully sails through the third ring, falling down and offscreen.

Who said Danny couldn’t be an Olympic gymnast? Unless you say Ghost Powers are chemical influence.

“Danny Fenton you are banned from the Olympics for……ectoplasm in your blood? What the…?”

Cut to three of the lasers. The one in front starts shooting out green beams with green and white darts. That one stops and the one in the back shoots out more darts. The second laser stops and the third one on top shoot more darts.

Cut to Danny, floating back into the shot looking with caution, his arms spread out. He dodges to the left with his body curved and his arms up as a wave of darts flies past him from the right. Then he ducks down in a ready position, smiling as a wave of darts from the left fly over him.

Cut to a counter with numerous empty flasks. A cardboard cutout of a generic green ghost flying by with an evil, black eyes and mouth pops up from behind the counter.

Cut to Danny, floating near the rings. He lifts up his hands, charging them green. He aims his right hand and shoots a ray.

Cut to the cut-out. The ray hits it dead-center, causing it to fry. When it stops, all that’s left is a charred half-cutout smoldering green.

Pan right. Another cutout, this one of a ghost holding up its arms menacingly, pops up. A green ray blasts it and leaves it charred and smoldering.

Pan right. A cutout of Jasmine holding up her arms in a spooky way pops up.

Don’t shoot the Jasmine!

Pan right as a cutout of a green-mound ghost holding its claws near its inexistent shoulders pops up. Another ray blasts it and leaves it a charred, smoldering mess.

Cut to Danny, holding out his hand. He retracts it, and then grins as he aims a one-finger ray behind his back.

Cut to the Jasmine cutout. The ray fries her head and hands off.

Ooh. Well, Danny really loves his sister, even if he doesn’t show it. Hope Jasmine won’t be mad, or confused.

Cut to the lab with the portal surrounded by lasers and rings. The floor in front of the portal opens and a large, metal wall pops up. A second wall pops up in front of it. A third pops up, filling most of the screen. Then a fourth pops up in the foreground, completely filling the screen.

Cut to Danny, looking down. He turns intangible. He flies off.

Cut to a wall with another behind it. Danny, who is intangible, is lying in the air with his arms holding up his head as if resting, phasing through it without effort. Pan left as he phases through the other three walls, a couple of dart blasters are visible.

Cut to the last wall. Danny phases with the back of his head first out of it. Pan left as he hovers over Tucker and Sam, who are looking up at him. They turn to the left as Danny floats off.

Cut to Danny, hovering lazily. He resumes full color, puts up a “thumbs up” and smiles.

Cut to the wall. Danny hovers to the wall, colliding back-and-palms-first into it. He grunts in sudden pain. Danny retracts his hands and looks dazed with yellow stars popping around his head. He slides off the wall and lands on the floor offscreen.

I currently think that intangibility is a reflex action for ghosts. Usually when an object is in the way, or an object is tossed at them, the object or wall would be passed through. I’d figure Danny to at least half-phase before stopping and falling like in MM.

Cut to Danny lying by the counter, his head propped on the cabinet. He is still dazed. He opens his eyes and puts a hand on his head.

Cut to Danny in the foreground from the back with the hand on his head. Tucker and Sam walk in from the right.

TUCKER: (holding up a hand) Hi! I’m Danny Fenton.

Cut to Tucker.

TUCKER: Don’t let the (points to his head) concussion and bruises fool ya,--

He puts out his palm and looks up, bending his head forward.

TUCKER: --I need more--

He curls his fingers and thrusts his head forward, closing his eyes.

TUCKER: --practice!

Cut to Danny with a hand on his head. He puts it down and looks irked as his other hand glows green. Danny looks to a spot on the ground as his glowing hand makes contact, spreading the glow.

Cut to Tucker and Sam. The green glow on the floor extends a path to Tucker. Both pop their eyes wide. Tucker yelps with surprise as he sinks swiftly into the floor. The green path dissipates into nothing. Sam smiles gleefully.

SAM: *Wow*! It’s quiet in here!

Ignoring the fact that Tucker just vanished from the map (video game lingo, there’s no room there, just black out-of-world space), the Nickelodeon site has e-cards that say Tucker is a highly chatty individual that doesn’t shut up. Oddly, they don’t mention any of Tucker’s gadgets. And the Sam e-card says that “Sam and Danny are not a couple, just have a psychic connection”. Out-of-date, those are.

Those of course referred to their characters before they were altered when the show aired. Sort of like how if you search hard enough you can find DP merchandise with the older design of Danny.

Fade to black.

OPENING THEME HERE

(Possible cut to commercial)

PART ONE

Title Screen is shown. Depicted is the dark, cloaked shadow of Vlad Plasmius standing on the right with Maddie looking aggressive holding a double-bladed green lightsaber, protecting a frightened Danny Fenton. The shape of a bear’s green, roaring head is in the background. The caption on the bottom-right reads “The Mother of All Shows!!”

Fade in on FentonWorks. Zoom in.

Fade to an image of the face of a smiling and gleeful, freckled young Danny.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Danny and I--

Zoom out. The whole picture reveals Danny and Maddie in the park. Danny, only about ten years old, is standing up with his arms out and one leg in the air. He’s wearing clothes similar to the ones he always wears, but he has shorts on. Maddie is sitting on her knees, smiling with her mouth open and leaning to hug Danny’s neck with her outstretched arms. A volleyball and a purple toy robot are lying around next to them.

MADDIE: --used to be--

Maddie’s hand takes the bottom left corner of the picture.

MADDIE: --*so* close…

Cut to Maddie, looking down. She lifts up the maroon picture frame in her two hands. She looks at it with her eyelids lowered.

Cut to the whole couch in the living room. Maddie is sitting on the sofa holding the frame and looking at it sadly. Jack is sitting next to her, holding out his hands with a Jack Fenton action figure and a green blob ghost with two arms in both his hands. He is playing with them.

JACK: Aha! (smashes the figures together) Take that!

Cut to Jack’s hands, the Jack action figure as one fist out to punch the inexistent chin of the blob ghost.

JACK: Eh, nobody makes a meat puppet--

Jack’s Jack figure punches the ghost figurine again.

JACK: --out of Jack Fenton!

Interesting. Jack just directly quoted himself in BR. He says the “meat puppet” line immediately after coming to his senses once Danny knocks Vlad out of him and frees him from being overshadowed.

Cut to Jack and Maddie. Jack is hunched over playing with his figures. Maddie is looking sadly over the picture in one hand, her head resting in the other. Maddie puts down the frame and looks to Jack as he looks toward her, the Jack figurine is holding a piece of jerky in its hand.

JACK: Fenton Jerky?

Maddie sighs. She looks to the jerky and reaches for it with her free hand as if pinching it.

MADDIE: Gracias.

Cut to Maddie. She takes the jerky and looks down longingly.

MADDIE: We shared everything.

She puts down the jerky and looks up, smiling while reminiscing.

MADDIE: Secrets, (looks up to the right) Bunsen burners, (looks down) soda!

You know, Danny and Tucker share everything. And they’ve known each other since forever. I don’t know if they shared sodas or not, but they definitely share chips and fries.

“Bunsen burners”? Huh, I guess Danny was interested in science/his parent’s experiments a long time ago.

Cut to Jack.

JACK: Ah, yes.

He looks back to the right at Maddie, who is offscreen.

JACK: Nothing says bonding like (looks forward) backwash.

Cut to Maddie, holding the frame in both hands and looking at it sadly.

MADDIE: Danny’s just shooting up so fast! (tilts her head to the side) Those special times seem to be slipping away.

She sighs and holds the frame far out in front her, smiling. Then she hugs the picture fondly.

MADDIE: Ah, I miss them.

Cut to Jack, looking to the side.

JACK: Maddie, (looks forward) they all have to grow up *sometime*.

Zoom out to show Jack holding his action figures. He holds up the ghost one and shakes it.

JACK: Curse you, Jack Fenton! You’ve defeated me once again! Ha ha!

Growing up is optional. Growing old is necessary. Jack has always been a kid inside and never really has a care in the world.

The doorbell rings. Jack looks forward, mind off his action figures.

JACK: I’ll get it!

He speeds off, leaving the action figures spinning in the air.

Cut to the front door. Jack runs up to it and puts his hand on the knob.

Cut to Jack’s hand on the knob. He opens the door, revealing a mail carrier that’s green-skinned with liver spots, long white hair like a mad scientist’s, with liver spots and wrinkles.

Zoom out and rotate to reveal Jack standing in the doorway. The mail carrier has red eyes, white eyebrows, and a blue, ghostly tail. He holds up an envelope reading “INVITE”.

I think he’s a part of Flying Phantom Express Mail, the official postal system for ghosts! Ghosts do in fact get mail because you may end up with mail for a late individual. And yes, contrary to popular belief, ghosts just might pay bills, too.

Cut to a shocked Jack. He reaches over and takes the envelope in both his hands and smiles.

JACK: Thanks, pal!

Jack looks up to the side as coins are heard jangling as he fishes through a pocket.

Cut to Jack’s hand in a pocket. He pulls out a coin reading “5¢” between his thumb and forefinger.

Cut to the ghostly mail carrier. He looks disgruntled and holds up his palm as the nickel falls into the screen and phases through his hand, vanishing. He looks up, confused.

NOOOO!!! PHILLIP!!!!

Cut to Jack holding the doorway with the envelope in one hand, looking at the carrier with his palm still up.

JACK: Oh, and try to get some sun.

He laughs a little and leans his head to the mail carrier.

JACK: You’re pale as a ghost.

Somehow he mistakes humans for ghosts like Jasmine and Lancer, but thinks ghosts are humans. Don’t the green skin, red eyes and ghostly tail give it away?

Other than that, Dennis enjoys having a ghostly white complexion. Being tan causes skin cancers.

Jack looks at the invite in his hand as he slams the door.

Cut to Maddie, looking depressed on the sofa with one hand on her leg hanging down and the other holding up her face as she looks to the side. Jack walks in from the left holding the envelope.

JACK: Hey, Maddie!

Maddie’s eyes turn to Jack.

JACK: Some kind of invite for you.

Cut to Jack. He straightens up.

JACK: I can tell because--

He holds up the envelope so the word “INVITE” is visible. He points at it.

JACK: --it has the word--

Cut to the letter.

JACK: --“invite” on it.

Maddie’s gloved hand reaches in and grasps it as Jack lets go.

Cut to Maddie with one eyebrow arched and pursed lips, holding her hand out offscreen. She takes the letter and looks down at it, opening it up and reading it.

Cut to Jack standing next to Maddie, who is reading the letter. She brightens up. Jack grins as Maddie jumps out of her seat, stretching her arms out.

MADDIE: *Yes*!

Cut to Maddie. She puts down her arms and looks at the paper again.

MADDIE: Just what the doctor ordered!

When this episode first aired, Dennis did not see the beginning and almost thought it was Bitter Reunions. See, in BR Jack produces an invitation to a college reunion and they meet Vlad, and in this one Maddie gets in invitation and then they meet Vlad again. BR was so Danny would connect to his parents by understanding their childhood; this one is about Danny bonding with his mother. Nearly identical premises.

Cut to the ceiling of the lab. Pipes and vents are on the ceiling.

Pan down. Tucker and Sam are off on the side watching Danny as he clenches his fists, straining and struggling. He clenches his eyes shut and bends down his head.

Cut to Tucker and Sam. They exchange glances.

Cut back to the struggling Danny, perspiring and looking focused and strained. Red blush marks form on his cheeks as he glows a thick green. His entire body turns white. The background changes to a turquoise action background as the white form of Danny splits into two heads and resumes full color. Zoom in.

Cut to Tucker and Sam. Zoom in as they throw down their arms and gasp.

Cut to Tucker.

TUCKER: *Wow*! (leans back and points a finger) You could eat a Nasty Burger *and* fries (puts down his hand and leans forward) at the same time!

Cut to a two-headed Danny, both heads disappointed. The head on the left speaks.

DANNY: Yeah,--

The second head looks to the speaker.

DANNY: --problem is I can only split myself--

Speaker looks at second head.

DANNY: --this far!

The second head quips up.

DANNY: Vlad Plasmius can turn into like,--

Speaker looks forward worried, holding up four fingers.

DANNY: --four different Vlads at once!

Dennis has a theory that duplication is a power related to the amount of ghostly energy one has. Danny’s new at this, so he has a lot less than Vlad. So, when Vlad manifests four copies, Danny only has enough power for one Danny and then some for a second head.

Now, later on when Danny gets a lot more powerful and is able to have enough energy at one time to complete two full Ghostly Wails without browning out at changing back, that’s when he can duplicate into four Dannys. Meep!

Cut to Tucker and Sam with the two-headed Danny. Sam has a hand on her hip. The right-side Danny is still holding up four fingers. He clenches it into a fist and keeps talking on the right side.

DANNY: That’s what this weekend is about.

Danny puts his hand on his hip and looks to his other head. The other head takes over and points up a finger.

DANNY: Non-stop drills.

Cut to the two-headed Danny. The left head is pointing a finger. He puts down his hand and looks to the right head, who points up a finger.

DANNY: No homework.

The left head looks to the side defiantly and holds a palm in front.

DANNY: No family.

Both heads talk at the same time as they sweep their hands in refusal.

DANNY: No interruptions.

Danny’s heads pop in shock.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Hey Danny!

Both heads blink and turn up to the left.

Pan left to the staircase.

Cut to the two-headed Danny. He turns all white as a ring forms around his waist and turns him back into Danny Fenton. He leans back and yelps in surprise, with only one large eye in the center above his nose.

If you hit pause between Danny transforming and Cyclops Danny, you can see he has two yes, but they are clenched shut.

Cut to a shocked Tucker and Sam. Tucker raises a hand over his head.

Cut to the Cyclops Danny. Tucker slaps him on the back of the head. Danny yelps as he bends down, blinking his two eyes.

Cut to Danny, Tucker and Sam looking shocked as they see Maddie gleefully descend down the staircase with her arms up and holding a letter.

MADDIE: Pack your bags,--

She stops in front of the trio and holds up the letter in both hands.

MADDIE: --we’re going to a mother-son--

Cut to the letter in Maddie’s hands. It says “Science Symposium” in red letters with an insignia on the top.

MADDIE: --science symposium in (her hands tremble) *Florida*!

She gasps for breath and walks into the shot, putting the letter down.

MADDIE: Doesn’t that sound fun?

Cut to Danny, looking up with his tiny mouth agape. He slumps over, arching his eyebrows in annoyed disappointment.

Fade to the living room. The sofa and potted plant are visible. Pan right to Jasmine holding the letter and Danny with a brown suitcase next to him. Both look disheartened.

JASMINE: At least you’re going somewhere.

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: I’m doomed to (straightens up) “special family alone time”--

She leans back over, her eyes narrowing as if cringing in embarrassment.

JASMINE: --with Dad...

Cut to Danny and Jasmine, both rather upset. Jasmine straightens up and looks at the letter in her hand. Danny looks down at it too.

Cut to the letter. The top has an insignia of a blue “D” in two gold olive branches with “THE DALV GROUP” as the header. Below it reads “Dear Madeline Fenton, You are invited to attend” and the red word “Science” is half-cut off.

For anyone who ever needed confirmation between Maddie’s name being “Madeline” or “Madison” and never seemed to catch this, here you go. It’s officially “Madeline”.

JASMINE: (offscreen) “The DALV group”.

Cut to Jasmine, looking incredulously at the paper.

JASMINE: Never heard of ‘em. (eyes widen inquisitively) Are they legitimate?

Cut to Danny and Jasmine looking at the paper. Danny looks annoyed. Jasmine looked bored at Danny.

DANNY: Legitimately boring, I’m guessing.

The DALV group doesn’t need to exist. With a Microsoft office program (or Apple equivalent, the Danny Phantom characters only use Pear computers) you can make legitimately looking documents that anyone would believe.

Cut to Maddie by the stairs. Jack walks up to her from the right.

JACK: Now just to make sure you’re protected from (looks down at Maddie) any rogue ghost attacks on the road, sweetcakes--

Zoom out to show a non-buckled mechanical belt in Jack’s hand. He holds the belt up in both hands as Maddie looks surprised.

JACK: --I made you this.

Cut to Jack’s hands holding the belt.

JACK: It’s the Fenton--

The belt sparkles.

JACK: --Specter Deflector.

Cut to Maddie with her hands up. She looks down surprised as Jack leans into the shot to put it on her waist.

JACK: Guaranteed to repel--

Jack leans out of the shot, Maddie smiles.

JACK: --and weaken any ghost--

Cut to Jack, his eyes closed with pride.

JACK: --who comes in (looks down) direct contact with you.

Cut to Maddie’s waist with the belt. Her hand is on the buckle, which has a keyhole on it.

MADDIE: Ooh!

She rotates her fingers on the round buckle. It beeps.

Cut to Maddie, looking down happy with her new toy as Jack looks over her. Maddie looks up to Jack and puts a hand on his cheek.

MADDIE: Thanks, hon.

Jack leans down his head. Maddie kisses him near the chin area. She turns her head away from him. Jack looks confused.

MADDIE: Oh, and Jack…

Cut to Maddie. She looks wary.

MADDIE: Please try not to trash the house while I’m gone.

She walks off.

Cut to Jack with a nervous look. He lowers his eyelids and sighs.

JACK: (leans back, annoyed) Suck the house--

He holds up a palm and looks up.

JACK: --into a parallel dimension--

He looks back and points up a finger.

JACK: --*one time*,--

He puts down his hand and arches his eyebrows forward.

JACK: --and you just can’t let it go,--

Jack’s eyebrows lower, along with his voice.

JACK: --can ya?

I wonder when (and how) Jack managed to do that. Especially without the help of a Soul Shredder of sorts.

I personally wonder how on Earth the Fentons managed to get back to the correct dimension. Surely must’ve occurred after Danny’s portal accident, so either Danny or Maddie must’ve figured out some way of getting the house back.

Fade to a white airplane with red parts on it flying through a green sky over the green mountains. Clouds are passed in the back and foregrounds.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Come on, Mr. Pouty Pants.

Cut to inside the jet. Two empty, plush red chairs are seen back-to-back by a wide, oval window. Pan right to Danny, pouting in his seat with his arms crossed and Maddie, looking up with her hand on the armrest.

MADDIE: This weekend is supposed to be (turns to Danny) about us!

Cut to Maddie sitting in the plush, red chair.

MADDIE: Those (leans in) DALV people sent this--

She spreads her arms and looks to the side.

MADDIE: --private jet just for us.

She raises her arms out at her sides and looks forward.

MADDIE: *How* perfect is that?

Cut to Danny, bored and arms crossed.

DANNY: Do you want the truth, or (looks to the side) one of those little white lies that (looks forward, more annoyed) doesn’t hurt your feelings?

Cut to Maddie. She looks down and sighs. She closes her eyes.

MADDIE: Forget it, Danny. (leans forward lovingly) Just look out the window at that warm, sunny Florida coastline.

Cut to Danny and Maddie sitting in their chairs by the window. Danny looks up annoyed and Maddie looks up in surprise as the pilot comes on the intercom.

PILOT: (intercom) Folks, this is your captain speaking.

Cut to the intercom on the ceiling by some control panel buttons.

PILOT: If you look out the window on your left you’ll see the cold, bleak--

Cut to Danny, looking up with one eyebrow arched, confused.

PILOT: --Colorado Rockies.

Danny pops in incredulity.

DANNY: The Rockies? (leans forward, looking concerned) That’s nowhere near Florida! (looks back) What gives?

Cut to Maddie, looking up at the intercom looking a mite annoyed. Danny is seen from the back also annoyed. His mouth gapes open as the pilot talks again.

PILOT: And if you look out the window on your right side, you’ll see me! Bailing out of the plane before it careens--

Maddie’s mouth goes agape in shock. Danny grits his teeth in fright, too.

PILOT: --out of control--

Cut to Danny. His eyes look to the window. The pilot giggles a little.

PILOT: --and crashes.

How can you say that if you aren’t in the plane? Walkie Talkie?

Of course, saying that the Rockies are nowhere near Florida means that the Fentons live in an eastward state. Dennis opts for Michigan. Don’t worry, Danny. Even if you’ve already been to Florida for space camp when you were a kid, you’ll visit again in Reality Trip, but that’s a long way off from now.

I’m personally still with people who opt for Amity Park being in Illinois.

Cut to the window from outside the plane. Maddie and Danny press their hands to the window and look down nervously.

Cut to the wing of the plane flying over the mountains. A pilot in a blue flight suit and a white pilot helmet with a red stripe and a walkie talkie falls from the left into the background as a parachute deploys into three rectangular segments. He drifts away.

Cut to the window from the outside. Danny has his hands pressed to the glass while he and his mother looks down, both of them are shocked. They exchange glances. Maddie takes action and runs off. Danny quickly follows behind her, also ready in action.

Cut to a purple door. It opens, revealing Maddie with her arms outstretched and Danny with both hands hanging on the door frame. Both are scared. Zoom out and rotate to reveal two pink pilot seats with stick controls, both empty.

Cut to the plane. The nose starts to tip downward and the plane begins to fall offscreen.

Cut to the two empty seats in the cockpit. Something is beeping. Maddie grabs the stick shift from behind the seat and sits down in it, taking the controls in both hands and pulling as hard as she can, straining with effort.

Cut to Maddie straining with Danny looking nervous with his hands on the top of Maddie’s seat.

MADDIE: The controls--

Maddie looks up at Danny, Danny looks down nervous and sad.

MADDIE: --are jammed, Danny!

Maddie looks down to the controls.

MADDIE: How do we get out of this?!

Maddie can fly an airplane? Wow, she’s more Incredible than we originally thought.

Close up on an insecure Danny.

DANNY: I know (looks to the side, determined) one way...

Cut to Danny’s body next to the seat. He crouches down on one knee looking up carefully with his arms and fingers spread out. With a flash of light, a ring forms around his chest and passes over him, turning him into a very determined Danny Phantom.

Cut to Maddie looking down at the controls. Danny stands up behind her and nervously holds up his palms, turning an intangible blue. He puts his hands on her shoulders.

Cut to Maddie’s waist. The Specter Deflector begins to sparkle up with green sparks.

Cut to the intangible Danny. He yelps in pain as he looks shocked and rings of green-edges white light pass over him. He leans back tired and falls away.

Cut to the floor by the seat and cockpit door. A white backpack with the word “MAD” on it in red letters is in the foreground. Danny is seen intangible, dazed and groaning as he holds his head. He leans up against the door and changes back into Danny Fenton.

I wonder what would happen if Maddie wasn’t wearing the belt. The secret would be out right when they landed, and I’m sure Maddie would be totally shocked before they met Vlad.

Cut to Maddie. She turns her head to the right. She raises a hand and gasps.

Cut to Danny looking up feeling bad as Maddie rushes to him, holding his forehead and shoulder.

MADDIE: Danny, you okay?

Danny looks to his mother and raises his arms in surprise.

DANNY: Yeah!

Danny’s swats Maddie away. He puts up one hand and reaches offscreen.

DANNY: I’m fine.

Danny just swatted Maddie away. Not only is that mean, but it does have potential risk of another belt attack.

Close-up on Maddie. She looks down.

MADDIE: Danny!

Cut to two white backpacks against the wall. One reads “Maddie” and is upright; the other reads “Danny” on the side and is leaning on the side.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Parachutes!

Cut to a frightened Danny with his arms pressed to the wall. A parachute is tossed to his chest; he grunts and takes it, looking down at it.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Let’s go!

Isn’t it suspicious to have two parachutes with your names on them? Clearly they are intended for emergency, but this looks as if they were intended for planned villainy.

Cut to the plane flying over the mountains. As it passes off, Maddie and Danny jump out of the plane with the backpacks holding the ripcords.

Cut to an aerial shot of Danny and Maddie falling as the mountains draw nearer. Parachutes deploy in three rectangular segments each.

Neither the first time nor the last Danny goes skydiving. After all, Jack, Danny and Jasmine all skydive in PoL, and Danny, Jack, Tucker and Sam skydive with ejection seats in IC. Isn’t skydiving fun?

Cut to Maddie and Danny, holding the cords on their parachutes. Maddie is looking down with one leg bent up. The pilot floats up holding a parachute strap with his walkie talkie to talk with Maddie and Danny.

PILOT: Folks, at this time I’d like to inform you that you’ve been the victims of a cruel hoax!

The pilot morphs into the ghostly mail carrier from before holding the walkie talkie. The parachute rises into the air and vanishes.

MAIL CARRIER: Thank you for flying air Evil Plot!

The ghost floats up and away as Danny and Maddie look up.

Cut to the plane flying in the air with the cockpit door open. The mail carrier laughs maniacally as he flies into the door of the plane, closes it and flies the aircraft away.

Cut to Danny and Maddie looking up. Maddie is holding her straps and Danny is shocked with his hands down and fingers curled. He crosses his arms crossly. Maddie looks to him, concerned.

Cut to Maddie, trying to save the situation.

MADDIE: Oh, come on, Danny! (closes her eyes gleefully) Don’t be so glum!

Cut to the mountains, some trees are visible. Danny and Maddie descend, Maddie with her arms spread out and Danny with his arms crossed.

MADDIE: Look at the view!

Fade to two bushes. A machete is unsheathed above them. Maddie swings it and cuts it short in a flurry of leaves and branches, grunting with effort. Danny is behind her, bored and tired. Maddie swings the machete again and cuts the right bush down and short, grunting. She stands up straight and wipes her brow, sighing.

Cut to Maddie and an exasperated Danny. Maddie leans over backwards to Danny, holding up the machete with one hand on her hip.

MADDIE: Good thing I had my Fenton Machete tucked away in my boot, eh, Danny?

That sounds uncomfortable.

Cut to Danny.

DANNY: You carry a lot of stuff, Mom. (looks down and points a finger) How about a Fenton Cell Phone (shrugs and arches his eyebrows) so we can call for help?

Cut to Maddie, eyebrow arched incredulously.

MADDIE: A cell phone? (scoffs) You can’t fight ghosts with a cell phone, silly!

She holds up her machete and looks at it.

MADDIE: Not that we’re likely to find any ghosts (walks off) around here.

Au contraire. You CAN fight ghosts with a cell phone, assuming you have a photon generator. We recommend using the sun, a large generator of photons, and the most convenient.

Cut to Maddie at the end of a cleared path in the underbrush as Danny looks uneasy on the side, turning to his mother as she chops out a path.

MADDIE: Besides, who needs help?

Danny starts to follow the path Maddie made.

MADDIE: I’m perfectly comfortable with us roughing it in the woods.

Cut to some more shrubbery by a couple of conifers and a mountain. Maddie sweeps her machete up to clear part of the bush then sweeps it down while holding the shrub to clear more. She lets go of the bush, looks to the left and gasps.

Cut to Maddie from behind holding her machete behind some shrubs. A large hunting lodge is in front of her with rhombus-patterned windows. Pan left. Antlers are on the roof’s rim and red shields, the one on top with a large V. Lanterns are on the stoop.

Cut to Maddie holding the machete down with her arm stretched to the side. Danny walks up, incredulous.

MADDIE: Or…

Maddie looks to Danny and points her hand forward.

MADDIE: We could just stay at this ritzy mountain chalet.

She puts a hand on her hip and closes her eyes.

MADDIE: I’m open.

Cut to Maddie and Danny. A horn beeps. Both pop and turn their heads to the left to see the source of the sound.

Cut to Maddie and Danny looking to the left with a large space to the right of them. They turn to the right as Vlad Masters drives up from the left in a golf cart, seen from the back. There is a red caddy with three golf clubs in it.

Cut to the seat of the cart. Vlad’s legs and torso are visible. Pan up to show him looking to the side and resting an arm on the top of the seat with one hand on the wheel.

VLAD: Why, Maddie and Danny (arches his eyebrows with a wicked smile) Fenton.

Cut to a stunned Maddie and Danny.

MADDIE AND DANNY: Vlad Masters?

Looks like this is a- wait for it- A Hunting Lodge for Rich Weirdoes. *chortle*

I don’t know where Vlad goes golfing out here, though. Wouldn’t golf balls get lost easily in the middle of the woods?

Eh. *shrug* He probably showed up in a golf cart to show off to Maddie. We don’t know if he was actually playing or not.

Cut to Vlad, ecstatic.

VLAD: Oh, what an (lowers his eyelids) amazing,--

He looks up to the side and raises a palm.

VLAD: --unexpected--

He puts a hand on his heat and looks plotting.

VLAD: --and totally unplanned (eyes widen) surprise.

He reaches downward with a grin. Zoom out as he holds up two baskets, a pink one brimming with goodies and tied with a pink bow with the name “MADDIE” and a blue one brimming with more goodies tied with a blue bow with the name “DANNY”.

VLAD: (offering the baskets) Personalized gift baskets?

When things have your names on them, you know that it wasn’t unplanned. Usually if you aren’t in the loop, it’s a bad thing.

Cut to Danny and Maddie. Maddie has her hands up all cheerful. Danny is confused. Maddie laughs and walks toward the camera offscreen. Danny looks cautiously to the left. He arches his eyebrows suspiciously.

DANNY: You’re up to something.

Close-up on Vlad.

VLAD: Oh, you think?

Cut to Vlad in the cart holding the baskets as he looks positively happy to see Maddie running into the cart, taking the baskets in both hands and sitting down next to him.

Cut to Vlad. He holds up his wrist with a small wrist communicator on it with two blue buttons and a green little screen. He talks into it.

VLAD: They’re here. Kill Jack.

Zoom out as Vlad looks self-consciously at a confused Maddie.

MADDIE: What was that?

Vlad pops and perspires, trying to save himself.

VLAD: I said (smiles and shrugs) flapjacks! Mm hm. (points up a finger) Pancakes.

He puts both hands on the wheel and Maddie smiles.

VLAD: I have pancakes.

Cut to the tire of the cart in a puddle of mud. The wheel revs and kicks up mud.

Cut to a shocked Danny. He covers his head with his arms as he is splattered by mud. He slumps over with his hair, eyes and shoulders dripping with mud.

Fade to Jasmine on the couch holding a cordless phone to her ear. The phone rack is on the table next to her.

JASMINE: Okay, I’ll see you later.

She hangs up the phone. It beeps.

One only wonders who she was calling. Jasmine doesn’t have any named friends.

Could have been one of her “clients” or whatever you want to call the students she gives psychological help to. For all we know, it could’ve been Spike from MM. *laughs*

Pan right as Jack leans into the shot holding a mechanical rod-like thing. Jasmine looks to him.

JACK: Hey Jazzerrincess!

Cut to Jack. He holds up the rod in his hand.

JACK: Check this out!

Cut to the rod. It has a green button on the side. It sparkles.

JACK: It’s my Jack-O-Ninetails!

Cut to Jasmine. Jack walks up holding the rod in his fist.

JACK: How’s about a quick tutorial?

Jasmine closes her eyes defiantly.

JASMINE: How about a quicker--

She looks annoyed at Jack, Jack looks sad.

JASMINE: --“no”?

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: I’m not interested in ghost fighting, Dad.

Cut to Jasmine looking at a disheartened Jack holding the Jack-O-Ninetails.

JASMINE: In fact, (stands up) I’m going out.

She walks off. Pan to the right a little as Jack turns to the right.

JACK: Hey, rope it in, Little Miss! (stands up) Be careful!

Close up on Jack.

JACK: Teenage boys are like wild animals.

Unfortunate but mostly true. No offense for those teenage males that are reasonable, the wild animals somewhat outweigh you. Or get more attention than you.

*giggles* Like most fathers, Jack’s very protective of his daughter.

Cut to outside the door. The silhouette of a giant, mangy animal with bunny ears is seen. Jasmine opens the door with her purse strapped over her shoulder, looking up and fearful at it.

Cut to the door from the inside. The hairy thing is green-furred. The feet are visible on bent knees Pan up to the rabbit face, which closes in on the camera with jagged teeth containing fangs and red eyes, growling.

Cut to Jasmine from the side, looking up as the giant ghostly rabbit leans in on her and growls, causing her to be even more scared. She shrieks in terror. Her eyes widen as the rabbit opens its mouth super-wide, chomping down and missing narrowly as Jasmine is jumped back offscreen.

Cut to the back of the room with the doorway to the kitchen, along with a table with a vase on it and a potted plant. Jasmine is thrown back into the shot, landing on her back and arms. Jack runs in from the right holding the Jack-O-Ninetails.

JACK: Back off,--

Zoom out. Jack aims and charges the rod as Jasmine is lying on the floor, wide-eyed and scared.

JACK: --she’s a minor!

Cut to the Jack-O-Ninetails. Jack uses his thumb to press the green button.

Pan left into a purple action backgrounds as a rope with a small green net attached flies forward. It extends into ten ropes on with green claws all attached to Jack’s smiling head, sparks in green flying.

If you count, it actually is ten tails. It took me a while to get it accurate until I figured out I could cluster the claws and add the amount together.

Ah, the endless joke about this item. We can only wonder if the miscount was done on purpose.

Cut to the giant, ghostly rabbit standing up by the staircase. Its eyes turn white and pop open in shock as the ropes grasp around it, green sparks charging and squeezing, causing it to bulge and explode in a giant green cloud.

Cut to Jack holding the weapon in front of him. A wave of ectoplasm showers over him, splattering the walls and causing ectoplasm to sit on his head, shoulders and arms as the ropes are now slack. He’s dripping.

Cut to a full shot of Jack with the slackened Jack-O-Ninetails in the messy room. Jasmine runs into the shot, happy.

JASMINE: *Dad*!

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: You saved me from that monster!

Cut to a proud Jack holding the Jack-O-Ninetails upright, his thumb on the button. Jasmine looks up at him.

JACK: Yeah. (looks to Jasmine) It’s what I do, princess.

He presses the button, causing the ropes to retract into the device.

JACK: That, (points up a finger) and needlepoint,--

He looks down at his daughter and puts a massive hand on her hair.

JACK: --which is artsy and relaxing.

Jack turns his head seriously, causing ectoplasm to fly off.

JACK: Now come on!

Cut to Jack holding the device in a purple action background.

JACK: I’m putting this house under ghost lockdown!

The device beeps. Nine ropes shoot out into the air and land on his head.

Fade back to some trees obscuring the lodge. It is near night. Zoom in between the trees to the lodge.

Fade to an aerial shot of the interior of the lodge. Maddie is reading a book standing near a desk. Danny is sitting in a large, red chair cross-armed with a bear rub by his feet. A larger, red rug with a “V” on it covers more of the floor. A red sofa is nearby, a stand with a green lamp next to it. The fire is burning in the fireplace. Vlad, in a white top, is looking in a mirror. Zoom in on Maddie and Danny.

Cut to an irritated Danny sitting in a red chair with straw armrests. His arms are crossed. He looks cautiously to the left.

Cut to the all. An orange, woodland cat is tacked on the wall with a small white rabbit on a trophy looks as if pouncing with a moose’s head on another trophy. Pan right to show a raccoon pelt, a curly-horned white mountain goat’s head on a trophy and a stuffed grayish-brown bear with its hands hanging out and the mouth open.

Cut to Danny, looking up. His eyes roll downward. He yelps and tucks his knees to his chest in a fetal position.

Cut to the floor. The reddish-brown bear rug is on the floor. It looks like it is staring at him with the mouth open.

Cut to Danny, gritting his teeth in fear. He blinks and looks with enmity.

Cut to Vlad from behind with a white robe on looking at himself in the mirror. Danny’s head is in the foreground. He looks with realization. Zoom in on the mirror.

Cut to the shoulder of Vlad’s reflection. In red letters, his robe reads “Vlad” backwards as “Dalv.” Zoom out to show Vlad smirking in the mirror, watching Danny sit in a fetal position in his chair.

Should’ve guessed. The invitation was not a clue, it was a billboard!

The image flashes white. Cut to an image of Vlad Plasmius smirking at himself in the mirror with Danny Phantom floating in the reflection among a lot of magenta fire.

I never did quite understand why this little image was put in this episode. I guess to inform people who never saw BR as to what on Earth’s going on. Regardless, it’s a very nifty scene.

The image switches back to reality. Vlad turns around.

VLAD: So, what brings you two to these parts?

Cut to Maddie looking in a blue book titled “GHOSTS”. One of her hands is on her hip. She looks to the right.

MADDIE: You’ll never believe it.

She points a finger on her free hand to the left.

MADDIE: We were on our way to the symposium--

She turns to the right, holding out a palm.

MADDIE: --and our pilot *forced* us out of the plane (smiles and points) right over *your* house!

She turns back to the book.

Cut to Danny in the chair. He turns to the left and shrugs.

DANNY: Yeah, it’s almost like it’s some sort of (turns back to the right) villainous plot!

Close up on Danny. He arches his eyebrows hatefully.

DANNY: What an incredibly well-planned coincidence.

Cut to Danny sitting normally in the chair, staring nastily as Vlad walks in from the right holding up a finger.

VLAD: That would be an oxymoron, dear boy. (opens his eyes) Oh, and speaking of--

He looks down to Danny and tucks his arm across his chest.

VLAD: --morons…

Close up on Vlad. He looks down with an evil smirk.

VLAD: How’s your old man?

Cut to Danny. He growls as his eyes glow green.

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: Ooh,--

He holds up his palms and waves them about.

VLAD: --the *scary* eyes.

He puts down his hands and smiles wickedly, zapping out two pink eye beams.

Cut to a stunned Danny. He jumps to sit on the armrest on the right as the magenta beam zaps the place on the back of the chair where he was sitting. He screams and flails his arms until he falls over, the burn mark on the chair smoldering.

Cut to Maddie reading the book. She suddenly pops with realization. She puts down the book and turns to the right. Vlad’s head leans into the shot.

VLAD: Maddie…

Zoom out. Maddie is looking at Vlad with both her hands holding the book. Vlad smiles and holds out a palm.

VLAD: I’m so glad you’re here.

He puts his arm across his chest.

VLAD: It gives me the chance to apologize--

He looks up wide-eyed and scared.

VLAD: --for Jack’s behavior--

He bends down, ashamed as Maddie looks in the book again, a small green ghostly figure pops up.

VLAD: --at our college reunion.

Cut to Danny kneeing on the floor with the chair still smoldering. His hand is on the armrest.

DANNY: Um, correct me if I’m wrong, but (stands up) wasn’t Dad possessed--

The chair ceases to smolder.

DANNY: --by some filthy, (leans back and shrugs) putrid,--

He smiles and points both his fingers forward.

DANNY: --lonely--

Close up on Danny.

DANNY: --single ghost?

Cut to Vlad and Maddie from behind. Maddie is reading the book and the little green ghost is popping out of it. Vlad turns his head and points his finger, zapping out one magenta beam.

Cut to Danny standing next to the chair with the rip in it. Pan left as the beam hits him square on the chest and sends him flying back offscreen with a cloud of smoke. He grunts in pain as glass is heard shattering.

Cut to Maddie reading the book with the green pop-up ghost. Maddie pops with realization. She cringes back as Vlad’s hands slam the book she is holding shut with the ghost still out of the pages.

VLAD: Well, (takes the book away) if he hadn’t been so *weak*,--

Cut to Vlad holding the book. He holds it up.

VLAD: --perhaps that never would’ve happened, hmm?

Cut to Vlad and Maddie. Pan left as Maddie walks past Vlad.

MADDIE: Now, Vlad.

She looks back to Vlad as she approaches a book case, pointing a finger at him. Vlad looks annoyed.

MADDIE: Jack may be a bumbler--

Cut to Maddie walking up to the book case. Shelves are marked with gold plaques “THE PARANORMAL” and “KNITTING”.

MADDIE: --but he means well.

She holds up a finer to search for titles.

Cut to Maddie. Vlad is in the background.

VLAD: I know,--

Maddie takes a green book and looks at it.

VLAD: --Maddie.

He hangs his head in shame as Maddie opens the book, which is titled “PARANORMAL SCIENCE”.

VLAD: And I’ve forgiven him for many things.

No you haven’t.

Actually, he could have before his accident. Vlad and Jack were best friends after all. Granted, clearly he hasn’t forgiven Jack for the things he’s about to list off though…

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: Causing the accident that ruined my life, (looks mad) *stealing you*!

He puts a hand to his mouth as if the incident is unspeakable.

VLAD: “The Backwash Incident”…

Ah, the infamous “Backwash Incident” that’s forever alluded to. Yet we never really find out quite what happened. Odds are Vlad accidentally grabbed Jack’s drink by mistake once and, well, naturally freaked out once he found out what happened. Eww. Has to have been Jack’s drink for a) Vlad mentioned it in the list of “things he’s ‘forgiven’ Jack for” and b) if it was Maddie, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have minded an indirect kiss. =w=;; As I said before, “eww” and poor Vlad.

Cut to Maddie reading the book. She puts it down and pops with realization.

MADDIE: Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa whoa, back up. (looks behind her) What was that?

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: Causing the accident that ruined my life?

Cut to Maddie beside the bookshelf with Vlad in the foreground. She points to the left.

MADDIE: No, after that.

Close up on Vlad. He looks up as if searching his memory.

VLAD: “The…Backwash Incident”?

What was that? Did some pipes break and backwash cycle back through the plumbing? That happened to my teacher once. And on All Grown Up, it involved a Reptar curse.

Heh. The incident is most likely what I just mentioned in my last comment. I’ve actually seen a few fanfics suggesting what it was that happened. I believe one of them even suggested Vlad had picked up a drink believing it was Maddie’s (see my indirect kiss statement from before) only to find out in horror later that it was Jack’s. Gross. >_<;;

Cut to Maddie, exasperated with a hand on her head. She throws out her arm.

MADDIE: No!

She pokes the air down twice, then puts her arms to her sides, her hands out.

MADDIE: In the middle!

Cut to Vlad. He looks down.

VLAD: Oh, the (looks forward) “stealing you” part?

Cut to Maddie by the bookshelf. Vlad walks up to her with his arms behind his back. She looks to him confused as he leans toward her.

VLAD: Ah, you always could see right through me.

Literally. You’re a half-ghost. *chuckle*

Vlad kneels on one knee and clasps his hands together.

VLAD: Oh, Maddie. (puts one palm out back) I’m just going to come right out with it.

Cut to Vlad, looking up at Maddie. Maddie is in the foreground.

VLAD: Please, dump Jack and stay here!

Cut to Danny, his foot stuck in a hole in the log-cabin wall that is smoldering. He has a burn mark on the knee of his jeans, scuffs on his shirt and face, and his hair is disheveled.

And Danny’s shoe is drawn wrong; the sole looks different.

VLAD: (offscreen) You and Danny--

Danny turns to the left, looking mad.

VLAD: --both can.

Cut to Vlad looking up at Maddie. Maddie is in the foreground.

VLAD: What do you say?

Cut to Maddie. Zoom in on her.

Cut to outside the lodge. Vlad is standing in the open doorway looking sad and regretful as Maddie is storming out and Danny is looking unsure, following her. Pan right as they leave.

Cut to Danny, looking gleeful and looking back, holding up a palm.

DANNY: Bye, Vlad!

He turns his head back and puts his hand near his mouth to call out.

DANNY: And as a lonely single man in your forties, might I suggest Internet dating?

Cut to Danny and Maddie as they leave between the two lanterns. Danny is calling back.

DANNY: Or a *cat*!

Cut to Vlad in the doorway with his hand by his mouth.

VLAD: Mark my words, Maddie!

He points out his finger. Zoom in slowly.

VLAD: Nobody says “no” to Vlad Masters!

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: You will (arches his eyebrows) rue the day that--

He puts his hand down, zoom in.

VLAD: --you spurned my affection…

Cut to Vlad by the door. He throws his arms back and shouts as if ranting, his head moving on each syllable for emphasis

VLAD: And I *will* *not* *get* *a*--

Close up on Vlad.

VLAD: --*CAT*!

So you say. Truthfully Dennis enjoys it more when you get a sweet little cat named Maddie in IR to share your happy feelings with instead of your ugly, fat cat named Maddie (a shame to Maddie’s name) that you plotted with in ToT and DS. We know you have a sensitive side. Use it more often and maybe you’d make and keep more friends.

Shame skinny Maddie kitty was only around one episode. All fans seriously wonder what on Earth happened to the poor thing. But we digress as we are still on the transcript of a season one episode…

Fade to FentonWorks. The sky is purple and green.

Cut to the foyer. The door and windows are boarded up and the walls and floor and staircase are covered in green goo. Pan left across the hallway to Jack hiding by the wall grasping the Jack-O-Ninetails in both hands with a frightened Jasmine hiding behind him.

JACK: You know, in retrospect--

Cut to Jack.

JACK: --perhaps I shouldn’t have (looks to the left) gutted the FentonWorks ghost shield to make your mom’s (looks to the right) anti-ghost belt.
Boarding up the doors won’t help. Ghosts can go intangible.

Cut to the ceiling. Doors are boarded up. Stains of purple goo rimmed with a green aura are on the ceiling. A ghostly bird with four legs phases intangibly through the ceiling feet-first. It caws. A second bird follows behind it.

Cut to a purple action background. A frightened Jasmine leans up back into it.

JASMINE: Ah! More ghosts!

Cut to a slightly fearful Jack holding the pole in one hand, looking up. Jasmine runs in from the right and takes cover behind her dad.

JASMINE: Get ‘em, Daddy!

Cut to a purple action background. A bird caws and dives down. A second one dives next to it.

Cut to Jack, ready for action with Jasmine hiding behind him. He holds out the pole, but a bird swoops past him causing him to yelp and throw his hands out in front. The second bird makes him yell as he is tossed offscreen in a cloud of smoke and pain-stars, revealing Jasmine to look at him with concern. She looks to the right at the spinning-in-mid-air pole and reaches out to grab it.

Cut to Jasmine. She looks up, ready for action as the bird caw again.

Cut to a corner of the room. Jack is slammed back-first into the wall, causing a crack and kicking up debris. He falls to the ground on his back and elbows.

Cut to Jack’s head in the corner of the screen, looking up in fear as the birds caw and fly up.

Cut to the four talons of one bird. Sixteen green claws come out form the talons, three on the top and one on the bottom of each foot.

Cut to the floor. Debris litters it and puddles of goo are dripping. Jasmine runs in the shot with the pole. The pole beeps as she aims it upward and the rope shoots out.

Cut to a purple action background. The green net on the rope flies in and releases nine ropes with green claws all attached by Jack’s head. Green sparks are everywhere.

Cut to the birds, cawing. Both are tied back-to-back by the ropes with green sparks flying. They are pulled off swiftly.

Cut to Jasmine in a battle pose by the oozing staircase holding the pole with the ropes in the air. She screams a battle cry.

JASMINE: Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yah-yah!

She slams the birds on the floor in front of her. They grit their teeth and glow all green as they vanish into green smoke, leaving nothing but the ropes.

Cut to Jasmine. She presses the button and holds up the stick so all the ropes retract inside. She smiles.

Cut to a pink action background. Jasmine thrusts it in the air with gleeful victory.

JASMINE: *Yes*!

Cut to Jack, lying on the ground, impressed.

JACK: *Wow*. Note to self:--

Cut to Jack.

JACK: “Make a Jazz--

He holds up an action figure of himself in his hand and looks at it.

JACK: --action figure”.

Dennis Dunjinman’s Rule of Jasmine Fighting Ghosts:

A Jasmine only fights ghosts for self-defense, never or vengeance. She can make quick work of any ghost you throw at her if she fights for the purpose to protect her family instead of to hurt the ghost. Otherwise she will have nothing to do with ghost fighting. Call it “Kung Jazz”.

He squeezes it. It squeaks and the legs move out.

Fade to the forest. The full moon is up. Pan right past the trees to an aerial shot of Danny sitting on a bench made of a log by a burning campfire with Maddie tying up a tent made from logs behind him.

Cut to Maddie with a tent made from tied-up logs. She finishes tying it and wipes her brow, proud of her work. Maddie reaches into the black pouch on her hip.

Cut to the pouch. Maddie pulls out two white pills with green stripes on them between her thumb and forefinger.

Cut to Maddie’s boot. The pills fall on the ground.

Cut to Maddie, looking down. She holds up an eye dropper with a red squeezing part, dropping a drop of water.

Cut to the pills. Two water droplets soak them. They rattle and shake.

Cut to a farther shot of the two pills. They turn into two sleeping bags, a red one and a yellow one, dropping down and unrolling on the ground by the two drops.

Cut to Danny, sitting on the log and watching the campfire. Maddie walks into the shot, jumps over the log and sits down next to Danny.

Cut to Maddie. She turns to the right and holds up a piece of jerky.

MADDIE: Fenton Jerky?

Cut to a depressed Danny. He drops his head.

DANNY: Pass.

Cut to a disheartened Maddie with the jerky. She looks to the jerky, then puts it down and looks to the ground.

MADDIE: Danny, this weekend certainly isn’t turning out like I planned, but--

She perks up and looks right.

MADDIE: --we’re spending it together, and--

She turns right and puts a hand on her heart.

MADDIE: --that just (sighs) means the world to me.

Cut to Danny’s body sitting on the log. Maddie reaches down her hand on top of Danny’s.

Cut to Maddie’s body. The belt on her waist starts emitting green sparks.

Cut to Maddie’s hand on Danny’s hand. Danny’s hand starts emitting green sparks.

Cut to Danny. He yelps and complains as his hair starts going nuts. He holds up his green-sparking hand and looks at it in worry.

DANNY: Ow! Okay, I get it!

He grabs his hand with his other hand, it stops sparking. Danny looks mad.

DANNY: Stop touching me!

Cut to Maddie. She retracts her hand, confused and stunned.

Cut to Danny looking nasty at his mother who looks confused at him. The campfire is burning and the moon is up. Maddie puts down her hand, upset.

DANNY: Look,--

He stands up and looks at his mother awkwardly, pointing to the right.

DANNY: --I-I’m going to sleep over here, okay?

Danny runs off.

We can see your reasoning for being a touchophobe, but it still is very sad.

Cut to Maddie. She looks dejected.

Cut to Danny, dragging the red sleeping bag. He lays it down.

MADDIE: (offscreen) Well, good night, Danny.

Cut to Maddie, pulling the yellow sleeping bag into the tent.

MADDIE: I love you.

Cut to Danny in the red sleeping bag.

DANNY: Mm hm. (He tilts his head onto his arms) G’night.

Cut to Maddie in the tent, holding the yellow sleeping bag and looking sad. She bends her head down and sighs, walking back into the tent and dragging the bag.

Cut to Danny, sleeping on the ground. He is suddenly awakened by a growl and a big, green, hairy, ghostly leg stepping next to him.

DANNY: Either Mom needs to shave her legs, or this is *realllly* (looks up) bad news.

Ew. No. Grody. No. You’re grody. Ew. Ew. Ew.

Cut to the ghost’s body. It resembles a bear standing on two legs with four clawed arms. Pan up to the bear’s head. It has fangs and red eyes. It opens its mouth, snarls and roars and encloses on the screen.

Fade to the chair Danny was sitting in earlier at Vlad’s lodge, but repaired as if new. Danny grunts in pain as he is slammed down into it. He sits down and looks up in fear.

Cut to three ghostly animals, the bear with the four arms, a mouse with five eyes, and a Cyclops thing in the back. Pan left past the chair’s back to a one-eyed moose with antlers, another bear with a pig-like nose, and a badger with one purple eye on a black eyestalk. All look nasty and menacing.

Cut to Danny, cowering in fear in the chair, turning to the right as the bear, a mouse, a one-eyed ram with curled horns, and the badger with the eyestalk enter from both sides. Zoom out a little. Danny looks forward in shock as Vlad Plasmius lands in the foreground.

Cut to the legs of Plasmius. Pan up to the upper body, revealing an evil grin on the ghost’s face.

Cut to Danny in the chair with the bear, ram and mouse.

DANNY: Nice petting zoo, (he jumps out of his chair in a battle pose) Plasmius.

Danny transforms into Danny Phantom.

DANNY: Where’s your lonely-guy cat?

Cut to Vlad, holding out a palm.

VLAD: Ah, (puts down his hand) there’s that teen--

Plasmius holds up a device with two glowing green poles that are surging with green energy.

VLAD: --wit again.

Cut to Danny by the four-armed bear. Vlad reaches in so the stalks on the device his Danny, turning him green. Shocks grow more powerful from the device as Danny’s hair fries and he screams in pain. Vlad removes the device and green sparks fill the screen.

Danny leans back into a pink action background and becomes a half-black, half-white skeleton with one green eye visible. Sparks continue to shoot off. The black and white switches sides a few times.

The normal background resumes and he turns back into Danny, bending down and clenching his fists as sparks fly. With a flash of black the ring forms around Danny again and starts to change him back.

Close up on Danny’s green face. The ring passes over and turns him back into Danny Fenton. He opens his eyes in surprise.

DANNY: Wh--!

Zoom out. Danny Fenton is standing helplessly in the middle of the room as green smoke dissipates around his torso and his head smolders green. Ghost animals like a wolf, a raccoon, another raccoon, the bear with four arms, a giant rabbit with one eyes, and a badger with two eyes surround him in the back.

DANNY: What- what was that?!

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: Oh.

Plasmius holds up the device again, the green bars charging with energy.

VLAD: I call it the Plasmius Maximus.

Cut to a scared Danny, standing helplessly. Vlad floats in from the right holding it.

VLAD: It has just short-circuited your powers for the next *three* hours.

Hey! That rhymes!

Cut to the face of a grandfather clock. The hands point to the nine and the twelve.

VLAD: (offscreen) That’s midnight.

Cut to Danny with his mouth agape in the foreground with Vlad putting his hands on his hips in the background.

VLAD: I tell you this because I’ve seen your grades--

Danny turns to Vlad, gritting his teeth in fear.

VLAD: --and I know you’re bad at math.

Dennis wishes to comment. See, she’s usually been good at math, but her grades don’t reflect that right now because she hit a few snags of math anxiety. Logs and polynomials and ugly equations and ugly numbers intimidate me. At least it’s a class for kids that are one grade above me.

*to Danny* It’s alright! I’m horrible at math too!!

Cut to Vlad from the front. Various animals walk up to him from both sides.

VLAD: These are my latest experiments. What do you think?

Cut to Vlad.

VLAD: Oh, that’s right.

He opens his eyes with amusement.

VLAD: Who *cares* what you think?

Cut to Danny from the back looking scared at Vlad surrounded by his ghostly fox and moose and bear and raccoon and three rodents.

VLAD: I’ll give you five minutes before I send my minions to destroy you.

Cut to the faces of a raccoon, bear and a one-eyed rabbit.

VLAD: (offscreen) The clock’s ticking, Danny.

Pan right to Vlad with the five-eyed rat behind him.

VLAD: On you, and your father.

Close up on Vlad with a dramatic stare.

VLAD: *Run*.

Cut to the open doorway of the lodge. Danny screams and sprints out in terror, panning left as he runs off.

Cut to the bear, two raccoons, and a one-eyed rabbit. They growl more.

Cut to a side-view of Vlad. He looks over his shoulder toward the camera.

VLAD: *Get him*!

Cut to the full crowd of ghostly, deformed animals. They roar and snarl and growl as they pounce off to the right, leaving Vlad behind.

Cut to Vlad, wide-eyed and amused.

VLAD: Five minutes,--

He closes his eyes and holds out a palm.

VLAD: --five seconds. (opens his eyes) Oh, apparently (clenches his fist) I’m bad at math, too!

Cut to a front view of the open doorway. Animals run down the stairs and roar, putting the screen into blackness.
