The Ultimate Enemy, Part 1

The Ultimate Enemy

Episode #28/29

Transcripted by Dennis Dunjinman

Prologue

Fade in to a shot of a rock surrounded by debris. A cockroach comes in from the left and begins to climb said rock. It twitches its antennae a little. Then it scurries on the back, unseen side of the rock and over some debris of a fallen wall a little farther away.

Debris and a cockroach is how this episode begins. Looks like a post-Nuclear War site.

Zoom out and pan up to show more destroyed and fallen buildings, some still standing but in states of disrepair. The whole place looks deserted and desolate save for a small, blue domed force-field in the distance. As it generates itself, lightning strikes many times. Zoom in on the dome.

Fade to a top view of the dome. Inside is a bright, futuristic looking city. There are high-rises and huge man-made canyons within the dome. Surrounding it are many small towers appearing to generate the force field. Zoom in and rotate.

I’ll take note of the canyons dug here. Since this is clearly a last-ditch effort of the human race, and space is limited, the people would have to dig deeper underground rather than sprawl outward. Talk about urban planning.

Fade to black. A yellow, flying car is seen passing from in front of the camera and swooping around a futuristic building, on it an electronic sign that reads “Amity Park” in big, white letters.

Pan right and down to more of the city. Three streams of aerial car traffic are going in various directions, with flying cars of varied colors like yellow, orange, Violet, and dark blue. Text is typed onto the screen. In big, white tech letters, it reads AMITY PARK: THE FUTURE”.

Cut to an aerial shot of a skywalk leading to a tall, white building. People walk to and from the place on the bridge. Flying cars pass by underneath the bridge and far over it near the camera.

Cut to the top of the blue force field dome. It generates to the apogee point. Some exceptionally tall buildings are seen coming close to it. Pan down to reveal Casper High School, identical in all its over-a-century-old glory, save for the many futuristic buildings behind it. A yellow-orange car is parked with its wheels deployed and its door open vertically. Students hang out on the campus. One girl is running with her dog. The car takes flight and hovers offscreen to the right. From the top-right of the screen, a jet surfboard with an older Valerie, complete with a crew cut, surfs calmly toward the camera. Pan down as she flies offscreen. Two young children, a blonde girl a small pigtail in the back wearing a pink lycra dress and a young boy with fudgey brown hair wearing a blue jumpsuit and white boots both run up on the sidewalk behind her, waving.

KIDS: Hi!

Cut to Valerie, surfing past, looking down and smiling. She salutes with two fingers, then looks forward, surfing away from the camera, leaning back on the board as it charges with pink smoke, and blasts off.

Cut to a row of six force-field towers. Pan up as the small speck that is Valerie approaches a small balcony on the back of one.

Cut to the balcony. Pan down as Valerie powers down her board; takes it in one hand and lands on her feet. She sets her board on the guardrail and walks toward a panel.

Cut to the panel, it has a huge X on it in blue. Valerie’s black-gloved hand with a communications watch on it opens it up. Inside, there are three bars, one yellow, one green, and one red. All are fully illuminated.

Zoom out and rotate to show Valerie observing it with her hand on the panel door. She raises her communications watch and pushes a button on it, looking down at it.

VALERIE: Ghost Shield Tower 9--

Cut to the watch. Valerie’s finger is on it. It’s filled with static.

VALERIE: 100 percent operational.

The static on Valerie’s watch turns into an older, balding African American man with an eye patch on his right eye and a missing left arm.

Damon Gray clearly is injured. It only pushes up the rating on this episode ever-so-slightly, with the dead eye and missing limb, considering his lack of a replacement or dressing, especially because Damon is a human, not a ghost.

DAMON: Great, sweetie. Check the last tower and get back--

The watch’s visual turns to static.

Cut to Valerie, looking at her wrist communicator.

VALERIE: Daddy? (lifts the watch closer) Daddy!

Cut to the wrist communicator. It’s all static. It pops to a dark screen with two red, devilish eyes on them.

VOICE: Hello, Valerie.

Cut to Valerie.

VALERIE: You *again*? (tilts her head) I don’t how powerful you are, ghost! You can’t break through the shield.

Close up on the red eyes.

VOICE: Until today.

The eyes widen as the screen trembles. A loud, ghastly sound resonates.

Close up on a shocked Valerie. The screen trembles. She braces herself and puts her hands on her ears. Zoom out. Valerie steps back near her jet surfboard.

Cut to an aerial shot of many white buildings. The screen trembles under the ghastly, loud resonating sound. Pan left to more buildings; a stream of air traffic.

Cut to an aerial shot of a man on the bridge, kneeling with his arms on his ears. Zoom out and pan over the bridge to show and entire skywalk of people stopping in their tracks and covering their ears. Numerous windows on a building shatter.

Cut to an older Kwan, wearing a white suit and glasses, behind the wheel of a yellow hover car. Two sleek cars ride next to him, a blue one and a red one. The windows shatter on the blue car, then the red car. Kwan looks in shock to the cars near him. Cracks appear in his window. He turns to the camera to examine them. He braces himself as his window shatters.

Good news: Kwan is not a hobo in the future, merely a mild-mannered man making a living.

Bad news: He’s living in a post-apocalyptic nightmare of a world.

Cut to the projector head of a Ghost Shield Tower. The screen trembles. Pan down to Valerie on the balcony, holding her ears.

Cut to Valerie, her arms on her ears with her hands clenched behind her neck. Her eyes pop open. She gasps as she hears some beeping.

Cut to the Ghost Shield Tower’s control box. The lights on the illuminated bars decrease, and electricity flows across the screen.

Cut to Valerie. She looks up and gasps in terror.

Cut to a blue bolt of energy surging up the Ghost Shield Tower. With a huge, flash of white light filling the screen, the projector head explodes.

Cut to Valerie’s jet surfboard. She rushes onscreen to grab it, and looks up on the continuing onslaught.

The smoking projector tower explodes once more, with many other chain reaction explosions happening all over the tower. Pan down to Valerie, on the balcony with her board, beneath all the billowing smoke. Valerie jumps up. More blasts cause her and her board to fall off the balcony face-first toward the camera, fading to black on her eye.

Fade back in. Valerie is seen from the back free-falling onto Amity Park. Her board falls with her. Smoke fills the screen.

Cut to a cloud of smoke. It dissipates as the screen pans down-left. Valerie is seen tumbling, then free-falling head first.

Cut to a building from Valerie’s point of view. Zoom in.

Cut to Valerie, free falling. She gasps and presses a button on her watch.

Cut to Valerie’s board, falling on the screen. It stops in midair and charges the jets with pink smoke. It jets off toward the camera.

Cut to a window inside a building. We can see Valerie falling head-first toward it, and her jet board runs off past her. Before she collies with the glass, the jet board catches her and drags her offscreen to the left, leaving two trails of pink smoke. She yelps out in shock. Cracks form on the window and they shatter to bits.

Cut to the city. Valerie swoops up toward the camera, sitting on her board with legs hanging off the sides, holding tightly. She gazes forward, the board hovers.

Cut to the smoking projection tower. Pan left to a working one. The good tower’s projector explodes three times.

Cut to Valerie, covering her eyes with her arm. She looks over his arm and gasps.

Cut to Valerie floating on her board, looking at the smoking tower. The one to the left of it explodes too. Pan left as Valerie turns left. Each tower’s projector explodes in succession.

Cut to an aerial shot over the dome of Amity Park. There is one smoking tower and three operational ones. The three explode in succession. Pan right until the dome curves back. The towers continue to detonate. Soon, the dome starts receding.

Cut to a street of Amity Park, many terrified onlookers witness the dome of ghostly protection slowly recede. A woman carrying shopping walks on screen and stops in her tracks, a scared, yipping dog runs past in the foreground. As the dog leaves, the lady drops her bags.

Cut to the skyline of a few buildings. The dome recedes more.

Cut to a full shot of all of Amity Park. The dome above it is almost gone.

Cut to the roof of Casper High. Many students are crowded on the roof. Pan up to the tops of the tallest buildings. The remains of the force field are scant as it pops away when it grows too small. Lightning strikes.

Cut to an aerial shot of a panicked street of Amity Park denizens undergoing mass hysteria. There is a post with four bullhorns on it in the foreground, the alarm blares.

Cut to a ground street. Three rooms open up from under the street with red alarm lights flashing. Screaming people rush into the safe areas.

Cut to an aerial shot of the street with red alarm lights piercing through the crowds of mass terror. Zoom out and rotate to show Valerie looking down upon the masses. She looks at her watch.

Cut to the watch. The red eyes are there.

VOICE: Like the new power? (gleeful) I call it-- (eyes narrow) my “Ghostly Wail”.

Cut to Valerie, looking at her watch, she suddenly looks to the left. Zoom out to reveal a large, flaming violet gem raining down on her. The screen fills with Violet from the impact.

Cut to an unconscious Valerie. Her body free-falls and barrel rolls further from the camera, falling behind a couple Violet trees and a telephone pole to the streets below.

Cut to Valerie, landing neck-first on the concrete. She runs on the ground, generating smoldering from concrete burn. Pan right as she approaches an eating establishment with two broken windows, shown as “Nasty Burger 2”, with the 2 a separate part of the sign. Valerie stops sliding in front of the edifice.

Ouch. You got hit by a flaming jewel, free-fell from a great height, slid on a hard, concrete ground and got serious burns. Glad this is a cartoon, or that would’ve really hurt.

Close up on Valerie’s scratched-up face. She groggily opens her eyes.

VALERIE: *You*?

Cut to the desolate sky and buildings of Amity Park. The silhouette of the Fright Knight swoops in from the top with the Violet trail of flames of his cloak behind him.

FRIGHT KNIGHT: Yes, me.

Cut to the legs of the Fright Knight.

FRIGHT KNIGHT: And I serve--

Pan up to the Fright Knight, his arms are crossed.

FRIGHT KNIGHT: --a new master now.

Dennis wrote the transcript of FN two transcripts ago. And she knows for a fact that his voice sounds different, lower and darker. It’s probably not Michael Dorn anymore. Still, she also wonders why he would be introduced now and forgotten for the rest of the show. I guess the only significance is that the two had met two episodes back in RS.

Cut to an aerial shot of Valerie on the ground with the Fright Knight overlooking in the foreground. Valerie stands up on her feet.

Close up on the Fright Knight. He leans back, looking over his shoulder. Then, he thrusts his arm back against a dark Violet action background, generating a small, flaming violet jewel from his hand. He tosses it toward the camera.

Close up on Valerie. She gives a stern, solemn expression.

Cut to Valerie’s watch. Valerie pushes a green button on the screen. All the parts of the watch’s screen become pink.

Cut to Valerie. She grunts as she grabs on to her board that rushes past, being swooped offscreen to the right just before the giant, flaming jewel lands on the Nasty Burger 2 and causes the screen to fill with a Violet impact explosion.

TUE was a sad day for not only the original Nasty Burger, but its sequel as well. Let us all mourn our favorite greasy spoon.

Cut to Valerie, surfing past.

VALERIE: Gotta get to Dad.

Cut to an aerial shot of the street. Valerie runs over it as two Violet explosions from behind her narrowly miss her. Zoom out to a Violet building in from of Valerie. Her jet board zooms upward against the building toward the camera as another shot barely misses her. Through the smoke, the Fright Knight flies with his arms forward against the building, the space between his green eyes filling the screen.

Cut to Valerie from behind, flying over the top of the building. She flies away from the camera behind a cloud. Pan down to reveal Valerie flying toward the glowing green house on the street corner, FentonWorks, whose OPS center has sprouted several new layers. Her rockets flare as she jets off toward it as amazing speed.

Cut to a flaming violet jewel in the Fright Knight’s hand in front of his chest. Zoom out to show a huge violet jewel about his size in both his hands, he thrusts the jewel forward as it flies downward offscreen.

Cut to Valerie, surfing on her jet board toward the glowing FentonWorks and looking back in fear. Zoom in on FentonWorks as she approaches. She grabs her board with one hand and swoops up as the jewel flies past toward the house.

Cut to FentonWorks with the super-tall OPS center. The jewel impacts on the OPS center, causing a cloud of purple smoke billowing as the upper part of the OPS Center truss with the reception dishes tips over.

Cut to a cloudy sky. Lightning strikes. Valerie zooms onscreen on her board, swerving nearly out of control toward the camera.

Cut to the FentonWorks OPS Center with a huge, gaping hole in the roof and smoke billowing from it. Valerie flies in through the hole. Pan down to the sign on the house.

Cut to inside the house, the stairway and the door to the kitchen. Valerie surfs in on her board from the right; goes down the stairs and swerves through the doorway to the kitchen.

Cut to the open lab door from the kitchen. A red light is flashing from downstairs. Valerie zooms though the doorway.

Cut to Damon with his eye patch and missing arm. The red light flashes. Damon looks down at a machine in front of him in the foreground, fiddling with it with his remaining right arm. Valerie zooms down the stairs, parks the board and lands on the floor.

VALERIE: Dad, (walks closer to him) the Fright Knight’s here.

Damon looks to the upper left.

VALERIE: Which means *he* can’t be far behind.

Damon turns to the machine.

Cut to Valerie.

VALERIE: What do we do? What do we--!

She is interrupted by another Ghostly Wail. The screen trembles.

Cut to Damon, looking fearful with Valerie in the foreground seen from the back. Damon turns to Valerie.

DAMON: Valerie--

Close up on Damon’s eyes. His eyebrow rises.

DAMON: Run.

Cut to Damon and Valerie looking at each other, the Fenton Portal in the background. They turn to the Fenton Portal. The whole room suddenly goes a dark green as cracks form on the floor and green light seeps from them.

Cut to the floor with Valerie and Damon far in the background. More cracks form as the ground splits and rises like an earthquake, with lots of light streaming out from it. Debris flies upward. A green-flame-covered silhouetted figure comes from the ground and fills the screen; it has the same two red eyes as the voice on Valerie’s watch. The eyes rise offscreen.

Cut to the ghost from the back as he gets up. He wears a cape and has flaming hair with a pony tail in the back. He outstretches his arms and his cape flies up behind him as two streams of green energy and many pieces of shrapnel fly up. Another stream of green flames goes up in front of him.

Cut to Valerie and Damon, looking in fear. Zoom out.

Cut to the blue floor of the lab with the gaping crack in it with some pieces of marble tiles on the floor. The ghost in nothing but green light lands on the floor. Larger debris fall down as he walks forward a few steps, then stops with his cape flowing. Pan up to show the ghost, his face looks like a red-eyed version of Danny’s with a pointed ear and red eyes, and the DP emblem is on his new black-and-white suit.

Conjectural titles again. While most people in this fandom name this character “Dan Phantom”, and Dennis just uses the name “Phantom”, this character is never actually named by anyone throughout the episode, even by SkulkTech, who says “That other Phantom”. So, we’ll use the conjectural title that he’s credited under, “Dark Danny”.

skyechan the editor here. To clarify further, “Dan Phantom” is a direct result of “The Ultimate Enemy” Gameboy Advance that came out a few days before TUE aired. As many already know, the staff of DP including Mr. Hartman referred to the character as “Dark Danny”. So…I say blame the game staff for any and all name confusion.

DARK DANNY: Hello, Valerie.

Cut to Valerie’s green shocked face. Zoom in.

Close up on Dark Danny.

DARK DANNY: And good bye.

Zoom out. Dark Danny raises a palm in front of the camera. The camera is filled with a splash of green over the ghost as he releases an ectoblast.

Cut to outside FentonWorks. The remains of the OPS Center are smoldering from the hole, and the part that was blasted off is smoldering on the ground. The house explodes. Debris flies out. The whole screen pauses.

Zoom out to reveal the whole scene was played on a circular, glowing green ghostly screen. Stripes move up and down like a paused videotape. The image on screen pop to an image of Dark Danny, gelling around a little like a pool of liquid.

VOICE: (offscreen) Now do you understand?

A small, childlike figure floats up to the screen. He wears a purple, hooded cloak and has a blue ghostly tail, carrying a time staff.

HOODED GHOST: Yes. Danny Phantom grows up to be the most evil ghost (shrugs) on the planet.

Planet? Just Earth? What about the Ghost Zone?

The figure morphs into an adult form with the cloak tattered on the bottom.

Close up on the figure. He turns around, revealing to have blue skin, red eyes, and a scar on his right eye.

HOODED GHOST: What do you want me to do about it?

Cut to two silhouetted ghosts with cloaks and narrow ghost tails floating by many gears. The hooded ghost is in the foreground.

GHOST #1: You’re the master of time, Clockwork.

The ghost on the left shrugs.

GHOST #1: Isn’t it obvious?

Cut to a closer shot of the two ghosts. A different one speaks. The left one lowers his arms.

GHOST #2: To save the future,--

The ghost floats forward, revealing to be wearing a white robe with a high-collared black cloak. His head is just a green eye in a lump of ectoplasm. Cut closer to him.

GHOST #2: --Danny Phantom must perish.

Cut to the image of Dark Danny in the screen. It waves around like liquid. Zoom in on his face.

Fade to black.

OPENING THEME HERE

(Possible cut to commercial)

PART ONE

Title Screen is shown. Depicted is an injured Danny Phantom on the left hand side, his outfit tattered, looking defiantly offscreen to the right (most likely) at the owner of the fiery glowing green clawed hand on the right hand side. Behind Danny Phantom is a shadow with fiery green hair, evil green eyes, fangs, and a green forked tongue. The shadow’s hands are glowing green with the same fire as the hand depicted on the right hand side of the frame. The caption in the top-right corner reads, “It’s Time to SCREAM!”

Fade in to Casper High. Black tech letters fade in, reading “AMITY PARK: PRESENT DAY”.

Cut to the auditorium. It’s full of students. Lancer is standing at the podium, with Jasmine seated to the left and another to the left. There’s a projector screen behind him. There’s a shield on the stage that says “CHS”. On both sides of the stage are giant flags.

LANCER: Your future is *not* carved in stone, people.

Cut to Lancer.

LANCER: But it may be carved (hunches over and lifts up a pencil in his fingers) with a Number 2 pencil.

Cut to a crowd of students. They all look bored. Sam is seated behind Danny with her arms crossed on Danny’s seat in front of her. Tucker is slouching in his seat to the left of Danny. Danny is the only one appearing focused.

TUCKER and SAM: Oh, please.

Danny looks scornfully at his friends.

DANNY: *Quiet*! This is important!

Tucker turns to him. He and Sam exchange glances.

Cut to Lancer with the huge projector wall behind him.

LANCER: As most of you have *probably* forgotten, you will be taking the (letters and corresponding words beneath them appear as he says the word) Career Aptitude Test on Saturday. Do well, like--

Lancer thrusts his arm to the right, pan down to Jasmine seated in that chair.

LANCER: --Miss Fenton here who got--

Cut to Danny. Lancer continues as Danny echoes him in a bored, worn-out tone.

LANCER and DANNY: “The highest score in the history--

Danny puts an elbow on the armrest and leans his cheek into his fist.

LANCER and DANNY: --of the CAT.”

I guess having a high-achieving sister is just bad for Danny, who is boring and plain and nothing ever happens to him. He could at least be motivated to do one thing better than her, even if it’s not academic.

In another note, why is this test the Career Aptitude Test, and why do Freshmen take it? Career Aptitude Tests are for picking your future career based on your interests. It’s possible that they were parodying the ACT or the PSAT, which in Dennis’s state, was last taken in 8th grade and won’t be taken until 11th grade like Jasmine.

Yet another question to ask the DP writing staff I suppose…

Cut to Lancer. There is a picture of a rich man in a black suit with wads of cash in his two hands, and a woman with a pink fur coat, diamond earrings, a gold necklace, sunglasses and a red hat holding another wad of cash. There’s more bills behind them. It immediately cuts to a red sports car zooming and a Victorian mansion, and then a yacht on the open sea.

LANCER: And a successful future will be assured.

Half of those pictures reminded me of Vlad Masters, mostly the black suited man that doesn’t look like him and the Victorian mansion.

Pan down to another student seated on the right of Lancer. Lancer motions to him. He is sleeping.

LANCER: Fail,--

Cut to the student. He’s snoring and drooling on his white shirt, which has a lime-green tie and also has jeans.

LANCER: --like Irving “Third Degree” Burns here,--

Irving pops awake.

LANCER: --who got the--

Irving blinks many times.

LANCER: --*lowest* score in the history of the CAT,--

Irving looks offended.

Cut to Lancer with the image of the yacht behind him.

LANCER: --and you will be doomed to a career at the--

Image flicks to the Nasty Burger.

LANCER: --Nasty Burger.

Cut to Lancer, looking bored in the foreground. Irving is looking at him with his arms crossed.

IRVING: Hey!

Lancer turns to him as he stands up and points a finger in the air.

IRVING: Working at Nasty Burger takes *brains*, you know!

You tell ‘em, Irving!  Win one for the rest of us fast food workers! (skyechan is a lowly Drive Thru slave when she’s earning extra spending money for college…)

Cut to Lancer at the podium with the image of the Nasty Burger behind him. Jasmine is seated down. Irving is standing up with a finger in the air.

IRVING: If the 42 (turns to the audience with arms out) Nasty secret herbs and spices in our Nasty Sauce are overheated, (steps forward) it could cause an *explosion* that could take out a whole city block!

I like the subtlety of this foreshadowing. It doesn’t suggest that the Nasty Burger will explode, but it says it’s perfectly possible.

Cut to a crowd of students. They look bored. Crickets chirp.

Cut to Lancer, Jasmine, and Irving.

IRVING: Oh, who am I kidding?

He slumps over and walks dejectedly offscreen to the left, Jasmine and Lancer turn their heads toward him.

IRVING: My life is over.

Irving might not be super-smart, but he seems like a very determined boy. If the CAT was a Career Aptitude Test and not a Standardized Test like the ACT or the SAT, then he’d get a number of good options.

Lancer holds up a gray folder, Jasmine turns her head to him.

LANCER: These aren’t--

Cut to the folder. On the top it says “Mr. Lancer”. It also says “Teacher’s Career Aptitude Test Answer Booklet.

LANCER: --just the answers to the test.

He puts down the folder.

LANCER: They’re the answers to your future.

Zoom out to show Lancer opening his briefcase on the podium.

LANCER: So study.

Cut to the briefcase. Lancer places the folder in the briefcase, closes it shut.

Cut to the briefcase again. Lancer lifts it, revealing a jangling handcuff on the handle. He handcuffs the other end to his wrist.

Cut to Lancer. He turns back to the microphone.

LANCER: Remember, it’s your future!

Close-up on Lancer.

LANCER: Do you want *fries* with it?

Cut to Lancer with Jasmine seated next to him, and the seat where Irving was empty. Lancer walks off with the briefcase to the left. Jasmine turns her head to him.

Cut to Tucker and Sam. Sam has her fingers curled on Tucker’s seat, looking at him.

TUCKER: Dude,--

Sam’s eyes turn to the right.

TUCKER: --you okay? Danny?

Pan right to Danny. He looks with a blank, shocked expression.

Zoom out. Danny’s image is on a screen that oozes like liquid. Clockwork is there, too. He turns around.

GHOST #1: (offscreen) What are you waiting for?

Cut to the two eye-ghosts. They float.

GHOST #1: It’s the perfect chance to--

The right ghost spreads his arms.

GHOST #1: --take him out!

Cut to the two eye ghosts from the back, looking at the screen with Danny’s blank face frozen on it. Clockwork floats in front of the screen from the right.

CLOCKWORK: That’s the problem with you Observants.

Clockwork phases into child form, with buck teeth.

CLOCKWORK: All you do (close-up) is observe.

Y’know, while reading the conversations between Clockwork and these two Observants, their voices are super ethereal and wise, but their speech is almost sarcastic, even. Imagine a wise, all-knowing sage is a sarcastic, all-knowing sage.

Yet more reasons why we love Clockwork.

Cut to the Observants.

OBSERVANT #2: You know our oath. To watch--

Zoom out. The child Clockwork flies up to them and looks down upon them.

CLOCKWORK: --And never act. (turns and floats upright) Which is why you bring me in to do your--

Clockwork phases into an old man, with liver spots and a long, flowing beard.

CLOCKWORK: --dirty work.

Cut to the image of Danny’s blank face in the time pool. The Observants and Clockwork are watching. Clockwork raises his staff, which glows white at the top, and the image in the pool fades to Danny at the kitchen table, with books and an answer sheet in front of him, his elbow on the table and face in his palm as he does a practice exam.

Cut to Clockwork, looking incredulous.

CLOCKWORK: He turns evil (raises his staff back to him) because he’s under pressure (phases to child form) from some test?

Surprised Clockwork has to ask rhetorically. Obviously he was too busy with other people’s time streams to care about Danny.

Close-up on Clockwork.

CLOCKWORK: Fine.

Cut to the image of Danny struggling on his practice exam in the time pool.

CLOCKWORK: Perhaps it’s time--

Zoom in on the time pool slowly.

CLOCKWORK: --for a test of my own.

Fade to Danny at the kitchen table with books all over. He taps his pencil over his practice exam sheet, trying to concentrate. He looks up, and then buries his cheeks in his hands with sad regret on how inept he is. Jasmine rushes in from the right and puts her hands on Danny’s chair, looking over his shoulder.

Cut to the exam. A burgundy book is seen, the test reads “Casper High Career Aptitude Test Sample”, with many cells of bubbles and the numbers 1-15 on the top.

Pan down. The cells come in fours, each labeled with an A, B, C, or D.

I’m sure standardized tests don’t look like that. Most scan-tron tests are taken vertically, not horizontally like this, and the bubbles usually have letters in them, not beside them.

Looks more like a Battleship board, doesn’t it?  No wonder Danny’s confused trying to come up with answers.

Close-up on Jasmine. She arches her brow.

Cut to Danny with his cheek in his hand and pencil in the air. He puts them down with a smile.

Cut to the paper. Danny’s pencil lowers on the bubble for A on question 1.

Cut to Danny, smiling and Jasmine behind him, looking over his shoulder.

JASMINE: Ah--

Jasmine looks nervous and puts a hand on her mouth while Danny’s eye look toward her, his smile melting off.

Close-up on Jasmine. She looks up and takes her hand off her mouth.

Cut to Danny, looking confused. He turns his eyes back to his paper, holing a blue book open with his non-pencil hand. He leans over the paper.

Cut to the practice exam. Danny’s hand and pencil hover over it. It’s about to make “B” for 1.

Cut to Jasmine, with a finger over her teeth. She raises the finger away from her mouth.

JASMINE: Buh--

Cut to Danny’s hand on the exam. It retracts a little.

Cut to Danny, exasperated with his sister and the test while Jasmine hunches over him with her hand on his chair. Danny moves his pencil without even bothering to look at his paper and Jasmine cringed back with her fingers curled.

JASMINE: Nnnnnnnn

Pan up. Danny lifts his arms and drops his book and pencil.

DANNY: Okay!

Danny puts down his arms and looks at Jasmine with an angry/irked expression with his fingers curled.

DANNY: I get it!

Cut to Danny. He turns his head to the right.

DANNY: You’re brilliant, (looks up and shrugs) and I’m stupid,--

Danny puts down his arms and turns back to the left.

DANNY: --and I’ll never be able to get as high a score as you.

Don’t feel too bad if you’re being overshadowed, Danny. No one has, Jasmine’s the highest score. But this may be an exaggeration; maybe she’s only the highest at Casper that is currently there. Luckily, Dennis is good at taking tests, and her ultra-overachiever older sister had to re-take it thrice because she’s bad at it.

Cut to Danny’s sample test. His pencil is lying on it.

DANNY: So far I’m not even qualified to scrape the grease--

Danny brings in his hand and flicks the pencil away.

DANNY: --off the Nasty grill.

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: All I want is for you to succeed, Danny.

Cut to Jasmine and Danny. Danny is leaning on his hand with his arm on the chair, his other arm on the table with the hand drooping off. Jasmine raises her arms.

JASMINE: And doing well on this test can help.

Jasmine closes her eyes and points up a finger.

JASMINE: There are three things I’ve learned in life.

Jasmine leans her finger over. Danny talks with her simultaneously, sick of it.

JASMINE and DANNY: “Study hard, do your best--"

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: And-- (Her eyes open wide as she looks down) *duck*!

Cut to the doorway of the kitchen. A high-tech boomerang spins in, panning right as it flies offscreen.

Cut to Danny looking confused at Jasmine as her hands are raised in front of her, alarmed. The boomerang hits Danny at the back of the head; he grunts and spreads his arms as the device lands on the table.

DANNY: (putting his hands on his head and rubbing the back of it) *Ow*!

Cut to the boomerang over Danny’s practice exam. It sparkles once.

Cut to Danny with his hand on his head, looking down on the paper. He picks up the boomerang with his free hand and looks at it.

DANNY: A boomerang?

Cut to Danny with the boomerang and Jasmine with her hands on her hips. Jack and Maddie rush in from the left. Danny tosses it away and it flies off, Maddie looking surprised.

Cut to the other doorway to the foyer. The boomerang flies through it.

Cut to Jack.

JACK: I call it the--

Jack raises his hands and wiggles his fingers in a spooky way.

JACK: --boooo- (puts down his hands) -merang. (looks up) It locks in on a ghost’s unique ecto-signature (looks down) and seeks it out wherever it goes.

Cut to the staircase. The boomerang flies past it, panning left through the living room.

Cut to Danny with his fists on the table, looking up at his parents. His mom looks down on him as the boomerang sneaks up behind Danny and bonks him on the back of the head once more, him grunting in pain and holding his head with pink pain-stars as Maddie grabs it in mid-air, turning around and looking at it.

Wait, didn’t Danny just toss it in that direction?

Cut to Maddie.

MADDIE: Although--

Maddie arches her goggles, Jack leans in from the right.

MADDIE: --why it’s keying in to Danny--

Cut to the boomerang in Maddie’s hands. It sparkles.

MADDIE: --is *way* beyond me.

Cut to Danny looking at his parents and rubbing his head at the table.

JACK: What’s that, Dan?

Cut to Jack.

JACK: One of those stupid (pronounces the word rather than the letters) CAT tests? I failed that--

Cut to the Fentons. Maddie is to the right of Jack, holding the boomerang.

JACK: --and I didn’t turn out to be a cat.

Pan left. Jack and Maddie walk off.

Cut to Danny. He clenches his fists and growls at his exam. Then he stands up and grabs his book and exam, tossing it away.

DANNY: Oh, I give--

The scene pauses with some pink magic sparkles.

CLOCKWORK: (offscreen) Time out.

Cut to Jasmine. She breathes in and lifts her hand to sneeze but pauses.

Cut to the kitchen. A clock hand sprouts from thin air with a blue aura and turns clockwise in a circle, fading away with a flash of light, and the adult Clockwork appears with a small, sleeping ghost girl with a pink hat, two black pigtails, a pink shirt, gloves and overalls.

Cut to the girl. Pink sparkles keep her paused, floating in place. Pan right to Clockwork.

CLOCKWORK: Ah, good. Parents gone. (phases to child form) He’s alone. With his sister.

Clockwork floats offscreen.

Cut to the paused scene of Danny throwing his books off the table and Jasmine about to sneeze. Clockwork floats from the left in front of Danny and around Jasmine, behind them, back offscreen to the left.

Cut to the girl. Clockwork floats up to her.

Cut to Clockwork. He leaves his staff floating in the air as he fishes a golden medallion with a CW insignia on it out of his cloak. He puts it forward like a medal.

Cut to the medallion. It’s a circular gear shape with five prongs, gold with the blue insignia of CW on a brown part of the picture. It sparkles.

Cut to the sleeping girl. Clockwork floats up to her and puts the medallion on her neck.

Close-up on the girl. She slowly opens her red-pupil eyes. She looks around.

GIRL: Huh? What?

Cut to the girl and Clockwork.

GIRL: Where am I?

Clockwork phases to his old sage form. The girl looks at him.

CLOCKWORK: Amity Park, before you were born.

Clockwork turns to the right and points.

CLOCKWORK: That boy there--

Cut to Danny in retained position, frozen in time.

CLOCKWORK: --is part-ghost.

Cut to the whole kitchen, with Danny and Jasmine frozen in place with Clockwork and the girl looking at them.

CLOCKWORK: My employers believe him to be a threat to the world.

Cut to Clockwork.

CLOCKWORK: (phases to adult form) Could you be a dear (turns to the left and twirls his finger) and dance a little dance for us?

Cut to the girl. She looks with a fierce expression and looks down with her brace-covered teeth.

Cut to Clockwork.

CLOCKWORK: (raises a finger) Time (presses a button on his staff, it dings) in.

Cut to a full shot of Clockwork. Several atom-like looping orbits form around him as a circle appears counter-clockwise, the hand goes counterclockwise and the circle goes away. The hand glows blue and retracts, popping out of existence.

Cut to a blue book and Danny’s practice exam. Pan down as the book falls shut on the floor, the test lands following.

Cut to Danny. He clenches his fists.

DANNY: --*up*!

Cut to Jasmine. She covers her mouth and sneezes. Her eyes pop open.

Cut to Danny. His ghost sense goes off.

DANNY: A ghost? *Here*?

Cut to Danny and Jasmine. Danny suddenly gets up from his seat, turns to Jasmine, and points upwards. Jasmine looks completely confused.

DANNY: Now, GET OUT OF MY ROOM!

Cut to Jasmine. She lifts a hand in a matter-of-fact way.

JASMINE: We’re in the kitchen.

She curls her fingers in front of her and gasps.

Cut to Danny. The ghost girl floats down behind him.

Cut to Jasmine.

JASMINE: But if that’s your attitude, (looks nervously to the right) I don’t want to see you, or anything you might do in here (turns around and leaves) for the next several minutes.

Cut to Danny.

DANNY: What’s with her?

He turns around and puts his hands on his chest in panic.

Close-up on the girl. Zoom out.

Cut to Danny in a fighter stance. A blue ring of light appears around Danny’s waist. The two rings pass over him and transform him into Danny Phantom, and the whole lighting of the room changes to a dark purple.

Cut to Danny.

DANNY: More importantly, what’s with *you*?

Cut to the girl. Danny is in the foreground. She leans back and puts her hands on her hips.

GIRL: I am (lifts her arms out high) Box Lunch!

She takes a fighter stance and looks down at Danny.

BOX LUNCH: Daughter of the Box Ghost and the--

She leans over with her head toward Danny.

BOX LUNCH: --Lunch Lady!

Cut to Danny. He raises a finger and points forward, cringing.

DANNY: Um, *ew*.

What I really wish to point out is that Box Lunch’s name is a self-referential title, but while that’s true, the names of her parents are also self-referential, bordering on the edge of conjectural, even. Seriously, come up with some better names.

They’re ghost parents, what’d you expect?  “Susan”?  Oh well, I’ll just continue calling her “Bentou”, personally.  Much easier to say and means the exact same thing.

Cut to Box Lunch. She is vibrating her hands.

BOX LUNCH: And now you will face the test (tilts her head back and lifts her hands up) of my box and lunch based (she outstretches her hands at her sides) doom!

Cut to a cabinet. It opens, revealing boxes and cans of assorted colors. Pan right to two more cabinets. They open showing more cans and boxes. The cans and boxes fly out of the cabinets.

Cut to the refrigerator. It opens, and so does another cabinet. The fridge contains generic cans, boxes and bottles of food, such as a ham, purple soda labeled “POP”, and a tub of ice cream labeled “ICE CREAM”. Things fly out of them like gallons of milk and ketchup.

If the soda is labeled “POP”, then it’s possible that the Fentons are a Midwestern family, where the term “pop” is more popular. Other than that, they have a lot ham and milk in their fridge, two of each due to animation cycling.

Cut to the arm of Box Lunch. Boxes of food form around her, like Cheese and Bacon on her arm. Pan down. On her hand is a box of Baisims (sic) and a can of beans. Four assorted colored sticks of butter appear, along with Meat in a Can. They form into a fist.

Cut to Box Lunch’s chest, which has the medallion. Boxes form around her like Cake Mix. Pan down to her legs. A can of soup, a box of crackers, a can of fish, and a box of sugar form her legs. Her feet are formed by many cans of things like Peaches, Peas, Corn and more soup, along with a red-wax-covered partially-eaten cheese wheel for the foot.

Cut to Box Lunch’s head. She has cans and boxes around her head like a helmet, along with salami on her hair. Pan out to show the whole figure of Box Lunch standing on the table made of boxes, cans, and two cheese-wheel feet. Danny looks at her, seemingly bored.

Cut to Box Lunch.

BOX LUNCH: And now, (cheerful) and you probably knew this was coming…

Cut to Box Lunch on the table with Danny looking at her, seemingly bored. She hunches down and waves her can-and-box-covered arms.

BOX LUNCH: *Beware*!

Cut to Danny in a fighter’s stance. He bends down and takes flight, his fists in front and hair blown back.

Cut to Box Lunch. Danny flies in from the right plows right into her, scattering all the cans and boxes.

Cut to a blue action background. Danny is seen flying forward with his tail cascading, holding Box Lunch tight. Box Lunch is bracing herself, her arms out over Danny’s head. Danny and Box Lunch become intangible.

Cut to the ceiling of the kitchen. Open, empty cabinets are seen. Danny phases through the ceiling.

Cut to outside of FentonWorks. Danny phases out of it with Box Lunch in his grasp, panning left as he flies offscreen.

Cut to an aerial shot of the Nasty Burger. Lancer is seen sitting outside. Zoom in.

Cut to Lancer’s arm on a table, handcuffed to his briefcase. In front of him is a tray of a Nasty Burger with some Nasty fries, and a white-and-red striped cup of brown, steaming Nasty coffee. Zoom out to reveal Lancer, looking down at his food with content. He looks up in surprise.

Cut to Lancer from the back. Sam and Tucker approach from the left, Tucker is smiling.

Cut to Lancer.

LANCER: Shouldn’t you slackers be studying for the CATs?

Cut to Tucker.

TUCKER: *I’ve* already studied.

Lancer himself should know due to a bonus he was granted in the past about Tucker’s academic achievement. After all, he did get a perfect score on the Northwestern 9 Standardized Test in Fanning the Flames. Meep!

Cut to Sam.

SAM: I’m sure we’ll do fine.

Cut to Lancer.

LANCER: And the test answers--

Lancer lifts his briefcase with his handcuffed hand and points at it.

LANCER: --in this briefcase may indicate otherwise.

Cut to Lancer.

LANCER: Enjoy your Nasty Burgers, (lowers his eyebrows) while you’re still on this side of the counter.

Lancer laughs evilly.

Cut to Tucker and Sam, not amused. They blink and exchange glances.

Cut to Lancer’s hands, hovering over his tray. His Nasty Burger begins to glow with a bright, white aura. Pan up to Lancer, still laughing. He stops and look down in shock as the burger flies up and rushes past his face, leaving a tomato, a pickle, and a patty behind on his face.

Close-up on Lancer.

LANCER: Fast Food Nation!

Cut to inside the burger joint. Various Casper High kids are sitting at tables and enjoying burgers and shakes. They all gasp and look up in surprise when their food and drinks start floating in the air.

Pan right to an unaffected side of the restaurant. More Casper High teens are seen enjoying burgers and shakes and socializing. They look up and gasp as their food lifts up out of their hands. Then they all turn to the right as their shakes, burgers and fries all fly off to the right.

Cut to the door of the Nasty Burger, which is wide open. The food flies on out of it.

Cut to Danny Phantom, floating in a ready stance. Zoom out to reveal Box Lunch on the roof of the Nasty Burger in a ready stance, seen from the back. The food comes up from the right and swirls around her in a purple, circular mass.

Cut to Box Lunch with food swirling behind her.

BOX LUNCH: Prepare to taste defeat! (conjoins her fingers and acts cheerful) And perhaps a nice side salad with that?

Cut to Danny, with his face in his hand, bored. He blinks to look forward.

DANNY: Pass.

Cut to Box Lunch, who looks absolutely shocked. She clenches her fists.

BOX LUNCH: Then feast on my empty calories of (clenches her eyes shut and vibrates her fists) *DOOOOM*!

Cut to Box Lunch with the circle of food around her. She raises her hams and the food ring lifts up above her. She thrusts forward. Pan right as the food flies that way.

Cut to Danny, hands on his hips, not remotely caring. He turns intangible, looking to the right as food flies toward him from the left and passes through him harmlessly.

Cut to Danny, intangible.

DANNY: (dropping his arms and looking up) Oh (turns tangible) come on. (shrugs again) If you actually are the child of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady, (turns and points both fingers to the left) *ew*, (resumes his shrug) then you *know* how this ends.

Zoom out and rotate to reveal Box Lunch above Danny, Danny looking up and dropping his arms in shock. Box Lunch has her arms raised and bonks Danny over the head with both fists. Danny grunts with pain and drops offscreen.

Cut to the roof of the Nasty Burger. Danny drops through it intangibly in a sitting position, arms up.

Cut to inside the Nasty Burger. Two kids are in there, scared. Pan down. Danny lands on his back on one of the booth tables while many teens look at him. They all run off screaming.

Cut to outside the Nasty Burger. Tucker and Sam are standing under the sign. The doors open to many screaming Casper High kids fleeing in terror.

Cut to Danny and Box Lunch. Box Lunch is hovering over a table, seen from the back. Danny jumps up into the air and floats in a fighter stance. Pan left to two Nasty Burger employees, a boy with brown hair under his white hat and a girl with a red ponytail. Both have white shirts.

MALE EMPLOYEE: Let’s get out of here!

They both turn around.

Cut to the greasy kitchen of the Nasty Burger. The grill is there, and an apron is hanging on a hook next to a door marked “exit”. Irving runs in from the left with his hands high.

IRVING: *No*! You *can’t* leave.

He puts his hands on his hips.

IRVING: As a duly deputized Nastronaut, (points to the right) you took an oath to protect (points farther to the right) the Nasty Sauce--

Pan right to two tanks with temperature gauges on them.

IRVING: --from overheating--

Cut to the gauges. The arrow is in the green, but there is a yellow area and a red one with a skull on it.

IRIVNG: --at all costs!

Cut to the girl.

FEMALE EMPLOYEE: At minimum wage? (arches an eyebrow) I don’t think so!

Cut to the back of the establishment. The door opens, and the teenage employees rush out to the left.

Cut to the open doorway. Irving comes in and holds the doorframe. He straightens up and points a finger in the air.

IRVING: You can kiss “Employee of the Month” goodbye!

Irving is such a loyal and determined boy. Dennis is proud of him and is sorry he failed his exams; he’s almost like the non-bothersome SpongeBob of the Nasty Burger. He deserves better.

Cut to the tanks of Nasty Sauce. Danny flies in above them.

DANNY: That’s right.

Cut to Danny.

DANNY: He said at the assembly, if this stuff gets to hot, (smiles a smug smile) kaboom!

Cut to a rack of condiment packets. One reads “Nasty Sauce” and contains packets of assorted colors. Next to that are packets of ketchup and mustard. Danny’s gloved hand comes in from the top and takes a brown-red packet of Nasty Sauce.

Cut to Danny. He picks up the packet and looks down at it.

Cut to Box Lunch with her arms raised and many colored packets of Nasty Sauce surround her.

BOX LUNCH: Prepare for--

She’s interrupted as the red packet of Nasty Sauce impacts her on her pink hat, knocking her back a little. It steams with green smoke.

BOX LUNCH: Huh?

Cut to Danny, holding up a green blazing finger.

DANNY: Box Lunch,--

He puts his hand forward and smiles gleefully, sending out a zap.

DANNY: --*beware*!

Cut to the empty booth seats of the Nasty Burger. Danny’s small, thin zapper streams past. Pan right to Box Lunch as it lands on the packet embedded in her hat, she looks up, panicking.

Cut to Box Lunch, looking up at her hat. When Danny’s zap stops, the smoking red packet begins to expand, revealing the letters “NS” on the packet. Box Lunch braces herself.

Cut to Danny, alarmed. He braces himself and turns intangible. As an explosion of debris knocks him back slowly.

Cut to outside the Nasty Burger. Danny phases backwards through the wall with many intangible sauce stains on his suit, falling offscreen.

Cut to the Nasty Burger. The whole left side goes up in a huge outburst containing generic debris. The left side of the Nasty Burger is completely open and is smoldering.

Cut to a crowd outside near an outdoor seat. Lancer is in front of them, holding his briefcase in his hands. Danny flies from the right back-first toward the crowd intangibly.

Cut to Lancer, looking up in front of the crowd. He lifts up his briefcase to protect himself as debris fall his way. Danny intangibly flies back-first through it.

Cut to the briefcase. Danny flies out back-first with the folder containing the answers intangibly stuck to his back.

Cut to Tucker and Sam, sitting on the ground as the downpour of food debris continues. Tucker is eating a Nasty Burger. Danny lands in full color beside them while sitting down, covered in sauce stains and food debris. Tucker takes another bite from his burger.

Cut to the gaping hole in the Nasty Burger. Irving stands up covered in sauce and sauce packets as the room smolders behind him.

Cut to Lancer, holding his briefcase.

LANCER: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance! RUN!

Lancer runs off. The crowd behind him starts screaming and running off in two different directions.

Cut to an aerial shot of the half-standing Nasty Burger, still smoldering. The kids run off, but Danny, Tucker and Sam stay there, sitting on the grass.

Cut to Tucker.

TUCKER: Danny, (stands up straight) who was that ghost you were fighting?

Cut to Danny and Sam, standing up Danny is holding Sam, and covered in food stains. He lets go of her and points over his shoulder.

DANNY: That was “Box Lunch”?

Cut to Danny, he puts down his arm.

DANNY: The daughter of the Box Ghost and the Lunch Lady.

Cut to Sam and Tucker.

TUCKER AND SAM: Yikes.

Close-up on Danny.

DANNY: Actually, it’s more of an (cringes)ew”.

Cut to Danny, Sam and Tucker.

DANNY: I don’t know what’s going on. (looks down in surprise)

Cut to the ground. Among many white packets of Nasty Sauce and debris, Clockwork’s medallion is on the ground. It sparkles.

Cut to Danny.

DANNY: But this medallion might (reaches down to take it) give us a clue.

He suddenly looks to the folder on his back and curls his fingers into a fist. He bends over and peels the folder off, slightly dismayed at the sticky sauce covering him and it. He looks at it, his eyes open wide.

Cut to the sauce-covered folder. It reads “Teacher’s Career Aptitude Test Answer Booklet”. Zoom in on it.

Cut to Danny, holding the folder.

DANNY: Oh my gosh!

Close-up on Danny in the oozing time pool.

DANNY: The answers to the CATs!

Zoom out to show Danny’s face in the time pool.

Cut to a full shot of Clockwork’s sanctum. The time pool is in the center. Clockwork in his adult form and the two Observants look in it.

Cut to Clockwork, looking pleased. The two Observants are behind him.

CLOCKWORK: (holding up a finger) Now watch this. He’ll make the right choice.

Clockwork turns to the Observants, pointing across his chest to the right.

CLOCKWORK: And you’ll see, you’ve got absolutely (turns to the right and points) nothing to--

Clockwork is cut-off in midsentence. Cut to Danny on a purple action background, holding the medallion necklace in one hand and the folder high above his head in the other.

DANNY: Hello, great future!

Cut to Tucker and Sam.

TUCKER: You’re not actually thinking of peeking at the answers, are you?

Cut to Tucker, Sam and Danny. Sam puts her hands on her hips. Danny is holding the folder in both his hands and the medallion in one of them, looking down at it.

DANNY: Of course I am.

With a flash of light, a ring sprouts from Danny’s waist and two rings pass over him, changing him back to Danny Fenton. He looks at his friends and thrusts he folder forward.

DANNY: Aren’t you?

Cut to Clockwork, looking troubled at his mistake. The two Observants are behind him.

Huh. Well, Clockwork isn’t totally right. There are infinite possibilities that Danny could have chosen, it’s only fair for the sake of plot that he chose this one. Guess Danny decided to disagree with Clockwork’s plan unknowingly.

The Observant on the left lifts a palm out and clenches his fists, the right Observant looks at him. Clockwork lowers his eyes.

OBSERVANT #1: He’s stolen the test answers.

Cut to the two Observants. The right Observant lifts a finger in the air as the left one looks to him.

OBSERVANT #2: He’s clearly going to cheat!

The right Observant puts down his arms and looks to the left one, who puts out his palms.

OBSERVANT #1: He has your time medallion.

The left Observant puts down his arms and looks to the right one, who raises his.

OBSERVANT #2: He has your time medallion.

Cut to Clockwork, looking away from the time pool with the image of Tucker, Sam and Danny in it.

CLOCKWORK: You said that twice. (phases to child form)

It’s obvious why. Since the Observants are identical, save for voice, they both need to put in even numbers of words in edgewise. And they provide non-forced comic relief.

Cut to Observant #1.

OBSERVANT #1: Destroy him now, Clockwork.

Cut to the child Clockwork in front of the time pool, showing the teens looking at the remains of the Nasty Burger. He floats up and presses his hand to a gear, phasing back to adult form. The gear’s center turns into a green portal-type thing.

CLOCKWORK: I know what I’m doing.

Cut to Clockwork’s hand embedded in the green portal on the gear. He takes away his hand as the image of an advanced ghostly machine fills the screen. The head looks like the face of Skulker in green flames, and the face of Technus is in a green circular screen on the machine’s chest. Pan right to Clockwork.

CLOCKWORK: We put the answers to the test in his hands, and he made the wrong decision.

Cut to the time pool. The image of the smoldering Nasty Burger is on the screen. Zoom in.

Close-up on the time pool. The image fades to a closer image of the Nasty Burger with the tanks of sauce glowing red. The image then becomes an image of the sauce tanks glowing red with a red heat coil in contact with the tank on the right, smoldering. Then, the image of the tank in contact with the heat source is shown with the temperature gauge in view. The image of the heat coil in contact with the tank is in full view now, and it pans left to the gage. The arrow on the gage turns right to the yellow area and beeps a little.

Cut to Clockwork. He presses a button on his time staff.

Cut to the time pool. It’s full of green static. The image becomes a freeze frame of Danny Phantom and the robot floating in gray skies, fighting. Green static appears as another image is shown, this time a freeze frame of Dark Danny ambushing Danny Phantom while Tucker and Sam watch in terror on the sidelines. Static fills the screen again as it changes to a freeze frame of Tucker and Sam looking up under the sign of FentonWorks about to come crashing down on them.

Cut to an image of the two giant sauce tanks n a red-tinted Nasty Burger with the heat coil on the right tank. From left to right, Jasmine in the Fenton Peeler helmet-off, Jack, Maddie hood-up, Lancer, Tucker and Sam are all bound together with a ring of green ectoplasm and gagged with patches of ectoplasm over their mouths.

Cut to Jasmine, Jack, and Maddie, bound and gagged. Pan right to Lancer, Tucker, and Sam looking at the heat coil in direct contact with the sauce tank. The heat source flames up a bit.

Cut to outside the Nasty Burger, the left side is completely exposed with the people bound to the tanks. The screen goes black as a large mushroom cloud erupts from the whole establishment. The screen goes white.

Cut to a red-tinted Danny Fenton, bracing himself as harsh wind and billowing smoke is blowing his shirt and hair back. He turns and puts his hands on head, looking with regretful terror.

DANNY: *NOOOO*!

Zoom out to reveal this image of Danny in the time pool. Clockwork floats up in front of it, seen from the back.

CLOCKWORK: His future (turns around, revealing him to be in his old sage form) is sealed.

Zoom in on Clockwork.

Fade to black.

-Cut to commercial-
