Whew!!! We made it back home after a long time on the road. The dogs were very happy to see us! Thank you Jan & Jeanette for picking us up at the airport ... even later than expected as our flight was delayed.
Now it's time to go through the mail and unpack everything :-). That should take a couple days, at least!
Kathy went to work today while Robert started on the task of getting things in order for the "normal routine".
Some things to keep in mind for the future:
- Take one camera for each person ... sometimes it would have been useful to take multiple pictures at the same time.
- Make sure your debit cards don't expire in the middle of your trip :-)
- Make fewer stops and spend more time in each location ... some stops were about right and others a bit too short.
- Definitely fly business class ... worth the extra cost!
- Remember to change your watch on the plane before arriving ... avoids some confusion!
- Remember to bring enough adapters for all the computers, etc. that you plan on using ... we purchased a second one in London.
- Make sure that the adapter you're using also recharges your battery on your laptop ... worked for one of our computers, not the other.
- Get a website that allows us to store more ... we only had 10meg of space for this trip.
