Dave Aronson's Consulting Terms

These are my standard terms. Most parts are negotiable, especially for contracting agencies.

What type of work do you do?

Software architecture, design, and (especially) development; training and other presentations; technical writing; and willing to do lots of other things. See my resume for primary specific skills or inquire for details.

What are your rates?

My standard rate is $125 per hour, i.e., $1,000 per day. Note that as I have a "day-job", it will take much longer than usual, to actually use up a given number of hours. Inquire for details.

Do you give any discounts or credits?

Direct clients (not agencies, nor clients via agencies), in good standing, paying a bill in full, receive discounts for current volume and past volume, plus credits for prompt payment. See my bill calculator or inquire for details.

What are your travel terms?

Work is normally performed at my own office. If you want me to be somewhere else, travel time counts in full, and you will be billed for all expenses. Inquire for details.

Is there anything else that changes your rates?

Working at unusual times or under unusual conditions can raise the rate, and assorted other services can be provided for different (higher or lower) rates. Inquire for details.

What are your billing terms?

For single months or briefer work, I bill upon completion, and payment is due before the same date next month (or on the next business day, if that isn't one). Otherwise, I bill on the first business day of each month, and the bill is due on the last business day of the same month. Late or bad payments incur penalties. Inquire for details.

Do you offer any kind of guarantee?

Any bugs you find in my software, I will fix for free. Inquire for details.
