Willie Kendrick, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, the 4th of eight children born to Pete and Ethel Kendrick. A Member of the Church of God in Christ, he is tall, wiry and energetic, and a indefatigable worker. Graduated from J.C. Cook High School with ambition to become an Artist. Joining the military during the Viet Nam War, he knew it was time to serve this great country. In February 1964 he was assigned to Fort Polk, LA for basic training and after basic he was assigned to Fort Gordon, GA Signal School. In November 1964, he was shipped to Southeast Asia, assigned to the 207th Signal Co. (TROPO) with the 55th Signal Co. Support at Camp Friendship, Korat, Thailand. After Thailand, he had assignments in Panama, The Pentagon, Korea, and Germany. Retiring from the military in 1984 with 20 years of service, he accepted employment in the private sector as a Multi-media Design Engineer, and retired in 2009 with 24 years and seven months.

This website is dedicated to all of the soldiers who came from small towns with a dream in their heart, and hard work on their minds, who wore the uniform with pride, dignity, dedication to duty, and love of country. Warm up the old mouse and, get a cup of G.I. coffee, and take a tour of my military life, and service to country. I don't remember the names of all the people I served with during my military career, but the memories and the images of their faces and the things we did and the fun we had will be forever in my memory. To tell the complete story of my military life, I would have to write a book. Many of us left home for service in the army and never returned, and for those of us who did return are the pillars of this country. Those who did not make it back will always be a part of this country's history as our "Heroes". Many of us will have or had children who will service this country just as we did. I had three that served.
